Working long shift...

So I am working a long shift at work today: 7:15 am to 6:15 pm I don't mind because I really need the extra money and also I like helping out when needed. We are short staffed so we all have to work as a team even more and play our part. Do oyu like when you work a long shift? I don't mind but it does make for a LONG day. I am just waiting for the day to be over so it can be the weekend! I was going to have to work Saturday but something else was arranged and now I have the whole weekend off.

i can understand the kind of stress you might be going through for this long working hours... but at the end of it all you will be feeling good because you are earning some amount out of this... for the past few days i am doing overtime because i am planning to start up my own company and i am in the process of making it a success...

My work days some times get very long too. Starting from 8 in the morning , and then goes on to 8 or 9 pm. I really get very much exhausted by the time I get to go home. But, I do enjoy my job. I am lucky to have the type of job I have been wanting to have. Yes, I would keep waiting for Friday ! "Thank God, it is Friday" as the popular saying goes. And, I would relax and enjoy the weekend. Long weekends are much better !

It's rare that I work a long shift as I only work part time. Plus they have the extra folks for holiday & are giving them all the hours instead of me. I know I don't have good availability this year due to my hubby's shift change but still I can work more than two 4 hour shifts, I can work 6-8hrs the 2-3 days I can work. But whatcha going to do,,, smooze a lil and get them to keep me on a lil longer or so. It's not like I make much just enough for groceries on a good week & enough on a bad week for gas in one car anyways.

I'll do it if I have to, but I don't like it. My back especially doesn't like it. I'd rather be spending the time with my family.

Hello my friend Bethany1202 Ji, AS I remained house wife for a soldier in Armed Forces, I had many occasions, when I had to wwait for my hubby for lunch and dinner. He was always late and never knocked the door in time. I still remember, once he lived with cup of tea and snacks for three consequitive days due to some Aero Engine change. At least, in civil workers get compensated, but we soldiers wives suffer all the ways. Enjoy wek-End. Wishing you a very happy Chrismas and New Year-2010. May God bless You and have a great time.

Long shifts are boring! The day just drags on and on, sometimes it looks like the clock is ticking backwards. Hang in there and keep mylotting.
