How do you feel when the days get shorter ?

As it approaches winter, the days get shorter. And, here in Canada, the days become colder and colder, heavy snows, blizzards, freezing temperatures. On certain days, it becomes cloudy and the whole day remains dark. The days get so short that the nights get back in just a few hours. One can't enjoy the outdoors. How are things where you are living ? How do you feel when the days get shorter ?

Hi. I live here in the Philippines. We normally have warm weather so we experience the usual 6am to 6pm day time and 6pm to 6am night time. We lose a day or two during typhoons because the city is normally flooded and we could not get out of the house. My husband and I usually take this opportunity to read books on a candle light because we normally have no electricity during typhoons.

The days are shorter here and much colder. It gets dark around 5:30 now and it seems it's forever until the sun rises in the morning anymore. The weather has been VERY cold. Low teens. I am ok with chilly weather but it has been downright cold and dark.

I love ,love grey days. I prefer the night so fall and winter are a treat for me. Besides if it is winter , there is hockey! Are you ready to host the world?

In this time of year, the days get shorter here too. I in a way enjoy this, i love it when it get dark early and when i wake up at 4 or 5 in the morning, it gives me a thrill when i see that there is fog around. It also gets colder here as Christmas approaches and speaking of Christmas, i wish you an advance Merry Christmas!!!

Hi greenline! I can't get used to these short days either! It seems like I always have to have the lights on no matter what time of the day it is! Like tody for instance! It was a cloudy and rainy day and it was dark and dreary all day! The temps were just slightly above freezing or we would have had snow too! We are just hanging by a thread with the temps! They have been hovering between the thirties and barely 40 so the precipitation so far has been mostly rain with little snow flakes! But, I know that snow is on its way!

I don't like it when the days get shorter, myself. That doesn't give me much time to get things done outside that need to get done. I like to get out and feed Cyrus (my horse) while it's still light because I have quite a ways to walk and I have to watch where I step. In other words, I could step in a hole I didn't see and possibly fall. It's been pretty cold and rainy here the last few days. Today, it was in the 60s but still rainy. That's the way it usually is around here at Christmastime. Kathy.
