Philosophers should be respected.

Philosophers should be respected by all means. They live for others and work hard for the betterment of our living. They spend all their lives researching on the ways by which the social life and economic life of the country would improve. They sacrifice their lot for that.

I don't know to which philosophers you refer. Researchers are seldom philosophers. They are usually seeking scientific certainties. Virtually any philosopher ,ay or may not be "in style" at any given time; veracity and believability comes and goes with the political atmosphere. That comes down to the level of respect ofr such people being variable and volatile.
