This photo is of my princess, Savanna, in her new jammies and robe she got for CHristmas. They are large for her as we hope they'll fit her next winter as well. Do you buy your growing young kids or grandkids clothes larger than their normal sizes in hopes they'll last more than a few months?

Yup Grandpa, we always bought our children's clothing a bit larger in hopes that they could wear the items as much as possible before outgrowing them! We do the same for our granddaughter too. The clothes are far too expensive to allow only a few wearings! We also shop at a local, upscale childrens consignment shop for our granddaughter. There are often items in there that have the original price tags on them..undoubtedly they were gifts that were the wrong size or got put in the back of a closet and forgotten about ..and when found...was too small! Recently we got two pair of pants, a skirt, 2 shirts and a sleeper for 21 dollars! All were either brand new or seriously appeared to have never been worn!

LOL!
I hated when my kids were like 9 and up.
Such a drastic growth spurt it cost a fortune in clothes.

I bought clothes that fit pretty well right now, but jackets to go over them that will be good for spring into summer depending on the Minnesota weather. I got tights for them to wear with their dresses as well.

Happy Christmas Grandpa Bob. Your grand daughter Savanna looks adorable in the new robe for bedtime. She should keep nice and warm these winter nights. I have a baby girl called Amber. She has outgrown most of her six to nine month clothing. I have recently bought her some nine to twelve month clothing. She looks so pretty in pink dresses. My toddler son is called Leo and wears clothing for two to three year olds. I buy clothes that will fit for as much time as is reasonable. I spent so much on new clothes because Amber grows a lot.

Savanna is a doll huh?
Most Savannas clothes are a size or 2 bigger to last.
ThaT'S THE PROBLEM I hate, spending so much pon clothes
that last them a few months only.

I used to, but not so much any more. Once in a while when I find something really cute on sale.
PS She's adorable...

She is a cutie.
My son is only 5 weeks old. We have bought clothes that will (hopefully) fit him for the next 3 to 6 months.

Once they hit about 18 months they get into growth spurts too.
Got to get larger clothes I say.

I dont anymore although I did used too but then I would put them away with the intention of leaving them until they fit and then forget about them. I do tend to buy a year older for them with some things, tops and pjs mainly but with trousers I get the right size as they are usually a little too long anyway.

It's so hard to plan ahead for children's clothing. I remember buying my son stuff a size of two bigger. If it was something he hated, of course it would fit longer. If it was something he really liked, I counted on a growth spurt. I seems like stuff went from being too big to too small in a matter of weeks.
