This photo attatched is of a grey squirrell in my yard under the bird feeder. He was burying his head in the deep snow to clear an area to get to bird seeds that had fallen from the feeder above. He sat here for 10 minutes clearing an area big enough to stand in and enjoy his free meal. Do you like watching rodents eat? HAPPY HOLIDAYS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

he's very cute, i love him clearing a space to have his snacks in. as for your question well i'd answer yes it can be cute watching rodents eat (with the exception of rodents in people's kitchens stealing food) - they can be very engaging.

I love watching them eat from the bird feeder but do chase them away sometimes so the birds get some seeds as well. HAPPY HOLIDAYS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

what a cutie, Bob! I was so afraid when I moved from the country to the city that I'd miss the God's little creatures, but we have a wooded area near enough that I even see small groups of deer grazing in the front yard or eating what falls from the bird feeders after dark. I'm blessed :)) Oh, and we have chipmunks that live right under the living room windows, and squirrels, birds, and rabbits are around, too :)) Karen

The squirrel looks very cute in the pic. Good shot! I really like to watch animals like squirrel and birds eating. That give me a different kind of happiness, what I can't get from watching a movie or listing to music.

Are squirrels rodents? I didnt know that. I dont see rodents eating here, but I do see a lot of birds eat. We get rainbow lorikeets, adelaide rosellas, magpies and kookuburras. I dont see the kookaburras eat, but the other birds are fun to watch. They especially love the fruit trees. They get on the branches and chatting away, having this wonderful time picking at my fruit. I think squirrels are very cute. I have a photo of one I took many years ago at The Grand Canyon.

Hehe..I love watching rodents eat well some I guess. I think squirrels and chipmunks run through the yard it is so great. When we were in Wisconsin this year visiting my mother in law there was a bird feeder right out our bedroom window and every morning we would wake up to these squirrels eating the peanuts and bird feed from the feeders it was so cool and in a weird way very peaceful. Our room is on the second floor here at home so we don't get to see the little guys eating out of the feeders but I really enjoy just being able to sit out in the yard swing and watch the birds and such in the summer evenings...

I like squirrels, my vet's office has been feeding a squirrel, I think there was some reason they started and now he comes and waits for them to hand out the nuts (they even BREAK them for him!)

I love watching the birds eat. Dont usually get a chance to watch the squirrels and stuff eat. Actually they tend to be viewed as pests around here on the farms and not very tolerated. I saw a cute little weasel run across the double lane highway on my way home from calgary yesterday! He sure was booking it across there!

Yes, I love watching the wildlife. I sit in my bedroom window a lot and watch the squirrels, running around and feeding, climbing trees and digging. I have this big dogwood tree outside my window and they love it. I have heard the little sounds they make too. I guess they are communicating with each other. We have so many squirrels, I told my sister we need to put our squirrels on birth control. (lol)

So adorable! I love feeding the wildlife around our home. There are a few squirrels around, so I keep a bag of a wildlife grain mix on hand during the winter. We ended up with almost a foot of snow, a lot for an area that rarely sees more than a few inches. Tomorrow I'll put some of that out and some birdseed too.

As I look at your picture of a squirrel, I look at the picture of another red squirrel in one of the windows here in my computer monitor. My son is trying to do is Christmas break project for school. He can't seem to sit still in front of the computer though. He just ran off to play another Wii game. So I am here myLotting when he's not around. Squirrel yes Grandpa Bob! Other rodents no.

He seems to think so. Santa left him his new Indian Jones - The Adventure Continues game this morning. So he's at it right now.

Hi Webeishere, I have seen the squirrels when I travelled in a forest park. The squirrels were very cute and didn't fear the human being. When I gave them the biscuit, they would hold them with front claws and ate then. When I squated myself down and took pictures for them, they will climb onto my leg. To my surprise, the squirrels like the chocolate very much.
