DO NOT WRONG understood ABOUT CHRISTMAS, the following explanation:
The angel who delivered news of Jesus' birth to shepherds said that he came to them with "big good news" (Luke 2:10). Many people who have heard the word "great joy" is, but they do not understand it. They like Christmas because it was time to decorate the house, shopping, attending various Christmas celebrations, or exchanging gifts with the people they care about. But after all the festivities ended, they again feel empty and lost already all that joy. Others just do not like Christmas time. They do not have enough money to buy gifts or decorate the house. There was also no friends to celebrate Christmas together. The atmosphere of joy for them only adds to a sense of deep sorrow.
The second problem above groups is the mistake of defining "great joy" who preached God's angels. The big favorite is not in the things that are external but on the real meaning of Christmas. At the time Jesus was born, God became man so that we can be redeemed from all sins and gain eternal life. This is the key to the big favorite. The shepherds returned its work in the dark nights and cold, but now they "praise and glorify God" (Luke 2:20). The real meaning of Christmas is: "big good news for all the nations" (Luke 2:10)

Looking at the first part of your message, yes, there is a big difference between happiness and the joy of God. His joy endures despite very difficult times. It endures forever if we remain in Him.
And yes indeed, the incarnation of Christ, the foundation for the redemption of everyone, is really "big good news for all the nations."
