Well I was commenting back to a discussion from a mylot friend when I thought of a twist / different scenario on their discussion. I hope they don't mind me using a twist to their question, but it did pop into my mind, and I just want to know what everyone has to say!
Trading Spaces is a show where two different families, usually neighbors, go to each other's homes and completely make them over, usually I think it's just one room. It's been awhile since I've seen this show.
Home Makeover, is not the name of the show but is close enough. In any case, in this show they sometimes build a whole new home for a family who has given, but has not been on the receiving end, or if they have, not so much to make a big difference.
In any case, my scenario is as follows :
You have the chance to tear down and rebuild a friend or family member's home. IT CAN NOT BE YOUR OWN HOME. What do you do to it? Take us through a rough sketch of what this home would like. Give us details from the wall color to the color of the bedding, even the softness.
Now Pretend your this same friend, what would you think they'd do for you for your new home or for your existing home? What do you think their reaction would be to their new home, and what would your reaction be to your new home?
I hope you enjoy responding to this. I will tell you what I would do for a family member, and basically answer all questions. Hopefully this will be a good example for you to follow... but please tell me your ideas etc.
The home I would tear down and rebuild would be for my Parent in laws. It would not be very big but would still be big enough to be enjoyable. The home would be wrapped around a central beautiful fountain or large tree. That is to say, that there would be four different walls facing the middle of the home, and would have three windows and one sliding glass door. So what I am trying to get at is that the middle of the house would be a garden. If you've know what I mean by a bubble letter, imagine a bubble O (a bubble letter or a block letter is a letter that is basically dimensionalized instead of just written as such O... Imagine a big O with a smaller o in it) There would be a big master bedroom and bath, a big closet, and an entertainment room. Said Entertainment room would have a big comfy couch, and would have a nice sized television, would also house the computer. There bedroom would have a nice sized t.v. as well and would be just as inviting as the entertainment room. One wall of the house would have a mural of a Thomas Kinkade painting. I am not sure which room would house this, but I think it would be nice in say a wall across from the open area in the middle. The kitchen would be cozy, and spacious. Their would be one other bedroom, but around the house would be plenty of storage to eliminate the storage building. I think and dearly hope they would like the home I'd have built for them. I'd hope it would cater to their needs and be a comfort to come home to.
As for what I think they would do for my husband and I. I can't say much as I am not completely sure, but I would imagine they'd make a replica almost of the house we live in now as my husband and I do not take well to change. We would have a game room though as they know we'd enjoy it. The decor would be western / cowboy.
So what would your scenario be?
