This is yet another shot of an ice crystal from my windows here in Minnesota. In this shot I blocked the flash sideways with my finger and came out with a 2 tone shot. I think this is a great looking effect of this ice crystal. When was the last time you did something odd when taking a photo? Was it with a body part like this or a fluid etc over the lens?

Grandpa, this picture doesn't even look like ice! It reminds me of plastic, fireworks, or a little like some Christmas lights. Hehehe, who would of thought that just doing that with your finger would create such a beautiful picture. Cheers, keep on myLotting!

Thanks.
I experiment a lot with various things when taking photos.
I love the odd effects I've created in a lot of my shots.

Very great grandpa bob, it really does look awesome. I agree with the others that it really does look like a set of fireworks going off. It is also really cool that you were able to get so many different effects into them Thanks for sharing

I agree with angelsmummy up there. This one does look like fireworks. I didn't know that you can block the flash partially and get this effect. Usually, when I get to block the flash, it's pure accidental and I end up deleting the pictur and getting a new one. Of course I don't have great subjects like ice crystals from my window.
