Do you control the heat?

By this I mean, at work, do you control the thermostat? If you work in a store or an office? Do they give anyone (or everyone) free reign over this? I'm wondering because as it stands, I'm sitting here at work freezing my BUTT off and the thermostat is at 63 degrees. We can't control it here from the store, though. It's locked and can only be controlled by the corporate office, which are probably trying to save the most money possible by cranking down the heat to a mere 63 degrees. .. And we're expected to wear POLO uniform shirts to work... Yes, short sleeve! Ugh, the ridiculous things this company does. LOL. How about you? Do you control the tempature of where you work?

No. As long as I have worked, I have never controlled the thermostat at work at all. This has been left up to the company. I know that when we used to go to church, the people whom had the key to the thermostat was in control of rotating the heat and the air when it needed to be changed.

In the department that I work in, one guy controls the temperature of our one big room. He said that he earned this right because the blowers for the heat and a/c is right above his desk. I'm just not sure how good he is at assessing the temperature of the whole room as I always see him wearing a sweater. Even when it is not winter.

Anyone is free to control the heat at my bank branch, although I rarely touch the thermostat. It's usually a good temperature in our branch. I have worked other places where it was always one extreme or the other -- much too hot or much too chilly, but here it's pretty comfortable most of the time, luckily.

I actually don't work but when I visit an office to use the computers there (the printer, super high speed internet, etc.) The thermostat is set there and it's freezing! I general don't like the heat and I can stand the cold but I know to always bring a hoodie or small jacket there - which is barely enough.
