Visiting Austin!!!!

Fran's used to be Dan's (before the divorce) and I've been there. In fact, I have a friend who used to be a car hop there! I live in Austin and too bad I didn't know you were going to be here, I could've helped arranged a tour!

I'm so glad you enjoyed your visit. Austin is my hometown and I'll always love it even though I don't live there now. I visited the capitol often as a child because my first home was within walking distance. It's now a state office building. I'm afraid that I've never visited the capitol's visitor center and don't remember the restaurants you mentioned. My son still lives in Austin but we rarely go downtown when I visit. This is a good time of the year to visit because you don't have to deal with the heat and humidity.
