"Well you learn something new everyday..." I'm sure many of us are familiar with this popular saying. Do you think this is a true statement? What did you learn today?

I think that it means in every day,you must learn lesson/s from what you've done.it is inevitable that you will make mistakes.you will learn a lot from those.my mantra is learn at least 10 new skills a year.for 2010,I would like to learn how to drive, how to cook well, how to dance well, how to sing well, learn German, learn Spanish, learn how to sew, learn how to do computer animation, learn yoga, and learn how to invest money.

Today I talked to my psychiatrist for half an hour, and he asked me some interesting questions which made me think about things in a new way. I feel that I learned something from our conversation. In the aftenoon I read some chapters in a book called "Jack Canfields key to living the law of attraction". His ideas aren't new to me, but I still learned something from the book. In the evening when I got back home I studied Russian for a while, and I learned a lot of new words. I wrote the new words down in my notebook, so that I can practice them again.

You learned a whole bunch, and I'm sure Russian isn't an easy language.

For Christmas I bought a DVD by Mark Gungor called "Laughing Your Way to a Happy Marriage". It was a gift to me and my husband from Santa. I learned about it from a woman in my women's therapy group. I checked it out online. The guy is hilarious but I realized that everything he said in what I watched last night (it's 4 DVDs probably 8 hours) was exactly true. He talked about how men and women are different. He said men do this and women do this and I was thinking, "Gee, I thought it was just my husband." Best part is he also told us how to deal/live with it. The things that frustrate me the most about my husband can be said about every man; and my reactions can be said about every woman. (He was generalizing of course.) We're not so different than any other couple. That's what I learned yesterday. Can't say I've learned anything yet today.

I think it depends on the person. If someone has done nothing but do things that are not good, I don't think that he or she will learn something new everyday.
