This morning, my husband put his jeans in to wash & I needed to wash my work trousers so I went to check if the cycle had ended. With 17minutes to go, there was a big blue puddle across the floor. The washer was draining but, instead of going down the pipe, the water was coming up into the sink and pouring over the top. At first, I figured I'd have to wait till it finished and then take out the "U-bend". Then I decided to just boil the kettle. I slid round to the outside drainpipe in a snowstorm and poured the water over it..... came in to an empty sink. Sometimes I'm so practical it scares me
