Dear diary, today I hurt myself

Today I hurt myself. I caused my left palm to bleed. I was trying to change my picture frame with a new picture early this evening. When I was opening the lock at the back of the frame I used a knife to push the lock since it was difficult to move by hands. I'am aware that if I use a knife and by the way I hold it I would surely hurt myself. But in the back of my mind I was so persisitent and didnt care that I would possibly get hurt. One, two. three! there I was able to unlock it but my left hand is already bleeding. Am I stupid? I already knew in the very beginning that I would get hurt but still I insisted. Have you done this thing? You knew for sure that you'll get hurt but still it doesnt stop you for doing your own thing?
