Vitamin E is found in a wide variety of foods. The richest sources are plant oils such as soya, corn and olive oil. Other good sources include nuts and seeds, and wheatgerm.
The FDA recommend a normal, healthy diet which includes whole grains and natural plant oils as above. They also recommend that, if you decide to take supplements, you take no more than 540mg per day though the recommended daily amount is 4mg a day for men and 3mg a day for women.
Vitamin E is fat soluble so it can be stored in your body fat and you don't need a regular daily intake. The above foods, however, have many other benefits and whole grains, nuts and seeds should form a regular part of your diet. If they are, there should be no reason at all to take supplements.
