This is a shot of my office window. It shows the whole window covered in ice crystals. This is the area where I zoom in for a lot of the photos of my ice crystals I post here. I just wanted to show an untouched, unedited shot of the whole window is all. WEll almost all the window anyhow. But you get the idea though I'm sure. Do you edit or alter your photos before posting them in discussions?

ohhh..that's beautiful.
I sometimes edit some photos and put some effects on it, but mostly I post it on my friendster and facebook account where friends and relatives can see it.

I very seldom post photos to my discussions. I edit the ones I print. Usually I do it at the Kiosk at Wal Mart because I get really high quality prints there and it is very easy to do. I do enjoy your pictures that you edit and post.

I'll occasionally crop a photo, but that's about all. And right now, I'm still trying to figure out this new camera. It's giving me arguments. I got it because it was supposed to be a "Great camera for the novice digital photographer." Sigh.

George Jones.
An old time Country Star.
I saw him and met him backstage at a casino near me.
Got the shirt, a hat, and a CD from him for free as well.
No autograph as his hands weren't working well that night.

I always have to edit my photos. I have to reduce them to a manageable size then cut out the part I want to use. I don't do things like take out red eyes and stuff, I don't really know how. I love seeing your ice crystals, though.

Don't you have the feature on the camera itself to change the size of the photo when taking them? Mine does. Thanks also.

One of my ambitions for the new year is to look up the instruction manual to my camera! It's long gone and I didn't read it in the first place. I know it has a lot more features than I use, even on for photographing falling snow! Thanks for reminding me, I've written it on my "to do" list.

Grandpa, your photography skills and gorgeous photos never cease to amaze me! I actually got a small digital camera (pocket size) for Christmas and can't seem to understand all of the settings! Sadly, I do not upload photos to MyLot because I don't have any. I feel certain that just learning to take them is going to be a challange, and fancy things such as touching, editing, re-sizing will be a long time in coming! Your office window photo is really neat!

Another one of your lovely and unusual photographs GP. I love looking at your photographs (work). I don't take as many pictures as I used to.
We are having some very cold weather here. I am sure I could take some unusual pictures if I took the time to search for some. I went outside the other day and had icicles hanging off my car. I need to do something for entertainment b/c just sitting here is getting boring.

Nice! I love ice crystals, we call them ice roses in Norwegian so I tend to translate that to all other languages :-)
When I always do before posting pictures, is resizing them, but that is more or less obvious I suppose. I tend to under expose a bit to be sure to get all the detail, so I often brighten the pictures before I post them. Sometimes I tweek the colours a bit, but not a lot, or crop to tighten in on the main subject. I like getting the picture right when I take it though, so I'm not really very good in digital photo editing.
