Hello to you, my fellow myLotters. I joined the big family just yesterday, and I am really excited about it. Since I just started out on my writing endeavor, I would really like to learn from you guys, who are much more experienced than me. I know some of you are actively engaged in online writing or blogging, and in the process, earning money out of it. Also, your reputation and readership are growing day after day. How do you guys do it? Any secrets that you can share?

I find it's best to just start writing, polish the writing as best as you can. Then start telling people about it. Start with your friends and family and go from there. Use social network sites to talk about it. My readers seem to be increasing by doing just that. Keeping a place where you can connect all the places you have things written also helps if you're on multiple sites. The more work you have the better chance some random person will find your work, if they like it they will search out more from you. It's really that simple.

You can buy traffic to get peopletoyour blog.Other than that I think you should write a blog that you know people want to read. I would look at examples of sucessful blogs and see what they do.

Hi snowy, I won't buy traffic to my blog unless I really have something very interesting which I think people should take a look. Yea, I have been reading a lot these days and trying to gather what successful bloggers and writers have in common, so that I can emulate them. Will continue to do that for the time being. Thanks for responding!
