Problem uploading through ftp

I built webpages using incomedia evolution 8 and ezgenerator. Both these softwares have inbuilt ftp client. I have a free hosting acc at zymic.com which supports ftp. Yet I cannot upload the files. Though I can do the same with filezilla.
Can anyone help me?

try using FTP like Filezilla...that would be very good way to uploads files thru FTP..i have it using on my site and not the builtin one..

check if you can reach the ftp server through ftp command line application (it is built in in windows xp, don't know if it is also built in in xp and 7). So you can rule out software problems, if that still doesn't work check if your firewall is blocking something. If that also doesn't work maybe it is a server-side problem

Hi friend.
Did you try to upload them by more simple methods? I mean did you check if you can access and copy a file using windows explorer? This way you will find if there is a problem regarding your host or your softwares.
If you can, we should wait for an experienced member who used these softwares before.
