I had a book recommended to me, said to be really good, called "COOL IT" by Bjorn Lomberg. It was written a couple of years ago. He doesn't debate the issue of global warming, instead accepts the possibility. What he does do is paint a realistic picture of what can be done "rather than an emotional scare campaign" to use the language of the recommender.
- Many think global warming (or change) has been exaggerated? Which way do you lean in this issue?

I think its a fact and our scientist and everyone else should be trying to eleviate the problem in some way. altho, i did watch a show on 2010 a couple of days ago that scared the stuff out of me. it made it seem like nothing we do will save us from a shower of fire from the sun that coming year. i'll never watch "conspiracy theory" again

...that reminds me.. I did hear that when it was the thought we were warming, some said sunspot flares were high but being ignored as a/the factor..

I do not know if human kind contributed to global warming or not. I do know that we are not the all that ends all that is the story of Earth's climate as this planet's climate has been bouncing like the proverbial ball before mammals became the dominant family of life forms on land. We don't even know where all the volcanoes are: We do know that they are a significant contributor to climate change if big enough.

I do know that humans can't do much at this time and date about the changing climate to turn the climate back to a different state. What we need to do is adapt to the change. We need to diversify our crops. We're too dependent on too few kinds of plants. Our global agriculture is dependent on just 30 different kinds. We grow these in mono-culture fields, leaving them vulnerable to utter wipe out by one disease.

Climate change is an alarm clock. Wake up world. Diversify, adapt, or die.

I think we are going through a natural cycle of weather. The earth warms and cools and those cycles depend on the tides, the moon, sun flares, etc. that we have nothing to do with. We are right now going through cooling. In the early 70's they were warning that by now ice would cover the earth!
I've come to the conclusion that everything is a crises, an emergency, a crucial point in history--if they don't keep up stressed out and distracted, they can't control our economy and take away our rights. "Global Warming" or "Climate Change" is one way they can keep up alarmed and distracted. And make Al Gore and others rich.

i believe in global warming, it is really evident. right now, i am a member of a school organization that addresses such problems. we should act upon it, i think people are just too dumb to see what's going on in the world today. this is a serious issue. serious than politics and racism and discrimination because when the world's resources run out and everyone will be desperate for a better place to live, we will all be affected. no one will be spared.

I think we are depleating the Earth and we need to do some things now before it is too late. No, I definitely do not feel things are being exaggerated. I clinch my teeth when I hear how the government tries to say it is just a scare campaign and makes me believe even stronger in the secret society, the Bilderberg Group.
Another good book is The Storms of Our Grandchildren by Dr. James Hansen.
