This is one photo of the many bunny tracks left in my front yard after a fresh snowfall. The rabbit started from under my deck; then in a circle near the gutter; then off to the top area to the side of the house. Another area in the very front of my house is loaded with the tracks going in circles. I love the rabbits but comes summer/spring I run them off as they tear up my flower gardens too often. Do you follow tracks left by your local wildlife at all? HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

I have never seen a rabbit in the 15 or so years i have lived here. Wish i did but if any have thought of coming in my yard when my dog is out would change their minds. She would probably kill them so i'm glad they don't.

hi grandpa bob why is it that now I am hearing in my mind the song, Here comes peter cottontail , hopping down the bunny trail,'hippity hop Peters on his way, now where in heck did' that come from. here in Little Saigon, Garden Grove Ca we havent seen a bunny around anywhere.when we lived in Tustin they used to come down from the tustin Hills. You know I bet anything people get really confused when I say I am livng in Little Saigon.well I am still in the US in Ca but when the vietnamese came over here a great number of them settled in this about a ten block area, thus it got named Little Saigon. as a rule they are really quite lovely people, soft spoken and well mannered and very hard working.

I am succesful now. That's the reason for the title of this discussion. Hoped to get someone singing it etc.Hee hee! I have even seen wild turkeys in my driveway and I live in a city of 60,000. But I am near a nature center as well is why. Deer; falcons; eagles; hawks; and other great wildlife are around my house a lot. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

I let them do what they want...walking, talking and ruin my garden, I love bunnies... I want to make sure my dogs are not about to chase them... I don't have picture handy at the moment, because I didn't see any this year...

Buster has brought me a bunny in the past that he caught. One leg was ripped nearly off the body. We never saw it after it ran from us when I released it. But he does not catch them now as they've learned a lot I guess. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

The only tracks in the snow here are squirrel tracks and you can tell he's hauling butt as fast as he can to get over the fence before Cookie can get out the door and catch him! She keeps that poor thing up in its nest unless I shut the dog door so it can leave. There is actually a pair of them now, Mr. Squirrel found himself a wife sometime last spring or summer!

Poor widdle bunny, you should get him a snuggie. We occasionally see tracks, but the ground is usually too hard for us to follow them for far...

Tracks - More bunny tracks in my front yard.
They have more than enough fur to keep warm. Here's a shot of the very front area of it's tracks. Too cute I think. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

I haven't seen any rabbits around, but we have quite a few possums hanging around. They're fun to watch, and sort of ugly-cute. Surprisingly they've apparently gotten to be 'friends' with the cats across the street. Isn't that odd? I just had to look them up online, and was surprised to find that they are over 70 million years old - as a species, and were around when dinosaurs roamed. Maybe the dinosaurs became extinct from trying to climb on chairs when they saw the possums? LOL

Hubby likes to track wildlife, and then again, so do the cats. We had a couple of years when we seemed to have no bunnies, and now we have a lot of them again. A cycle of nature I guess. We get lots of possums and a few raccoons as well.

Looks like you have some loopy rabbits there. Is that what you've been doing while away from myLot? Chasing bunnies?

Just watching them not chasing. I tried to get a video of them earlier but the lens hit the window and they freaked out hopping madly into the neighbors. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

Hi GRANDPA BOB, We don't run off any widld life around here as the are free to roam, saying that, I don't grow any veggies to worry about and they leave my shrubs alone, I do have cats so I don't get any problems, all I have squirels running around that I can see. Tamara

The only tracks I see are the sardines sauce smudges from my cats all over the dining table! Kidding aside, unfortunately rabbits aren't really common animals here in our place. I'm from the Philippines. It's a tropical country and rabbits don't really roam free. I even guess that the bunnies we see in pet shops are from other countries. But you know what? Them bunnies would be so cute to have around.

We havw a fence around our garden, so the rabbits don't come in, which I am grateful for because we have two cats that are very partial to rabbits! Most of the tracks I see are from birds - impossible to folow them! Have you wondered if the rabbits are trying to communicate with you - these could be messages left in rabbit language?

Winter has been so warm here in the pacific northwest grandpa bob. We never had any snow after that first blast on the first week of December. Even that only lasted for a couple of days. So, no snow tracks here. As a matter of fact, I have never seen any wildlife tracks near our home. Of course we live near a strip mall. So all the wildlife must have been driven away when the developments started.
