Project Constellation Canceled?! thnx a lot Big "O" {:( }

Few years back I heard about the news regarding Bush's Proposal for the NASA Astronauts plan to return to the moon, but not for a temporary stay but to put up a Scientific base there to study deeper areas in the moon. there was hope in my mind that in this life time i might actually witness the return of the astronauts to the moon.
But yeah, that's to the Big "O", 
he decides to cancel the project due to some part of fiscal project for the year 2011,what"? if he really wants to cancel important projects, maybe he should dismantle nuclear arms too and the secret base of area 51, just imagine how much cost they are spending on military experiments that takes forever .

I heard that this project will resume sometime in the years 2050 or 2090? Are they crazy, do they have any idea how old i can be when that year comes? i won't be even have the chance to see or hear clearly due to being old

The choice should be always follow up science's progress. Many people think that he's being practical, that's a false allegation. When Michael Faraday did the first tests with the electromagnetic theory he didn't know where it was going to lead to, but nowadays we pay a lot of tributes and taxes to the government because of electricity. That's the same thing with the other science projects, such as the Constellation program. Right now, we cannot be sure what kind of future benefits these will bring to us, however the development of the new technology starts with the progress made in the past. If you want a practical attitude, you can think that the government will earn a lot of money in the future when selling the new techs and these will move the future economy, as the example of the electromagnetic experiments made by Faraday...

Yeah, I know. We're going in the wrong direction. Again...
Of course in Bush's case, he probably wanted us on the moon for military reasons anyway.

what choice do Obama have? we are on a crisis and maintaining a Moon base will cause billions and trillions or dollars. he's just being practical. i doubt that the health care was even good during he fame of the astronauts during the apollo and space shuttle missions. don't worry it will happen some day, let time pass.
