If you found something that affected your family, and discovered that you might be able to correct the situation so it didn't happen to others would you try? Take your time and maybe your money to help total strangers? How about if it caused death in your family? Would that make it more important to you. I keep thinking of the neighborhoods where one Mom worked to get rid of the drug dealers, or when two people got together to stop Meth use in one small town. Could you be one of those people?

Pat, I've been there. I'd do it again in a heartbeat! I don't really understand why more people are not involved in improving their communities and their world!

I am sure there are as many excuses as there are people. Good for you. Thanks

Those people that stand against something like that deserve the upmost respect. It's them that make the differences in the world. I would like to think I could be one.

I think it must take a overpowering will to do what they do, nothing else can matter as much as their goal. I just can't center myself that much, but deeply respect those that can. Thanks

With something so obviously illegal, I would probably be involved in stopping it. What came to my mind when I first saw this discussion would be the person who has a child that is killed doing something wrong, or as the result of someone else doing something wrong. Often the parents assuage their grief by becoming activitsts in a cause.

One does wonder sometimes if a person's life is forfitted to bring the attention necessary to fight an evil. I that heard this before but do not know if any studies have been made. Thanks
