Dear friends,
I received an email notification from paypal today.I had withdrawn money from my pay pal account to my bank account in India and normally this would be seen in my account within 5 to 7 days.It is just 3 days today but I have received a mail from paypal.I am sharing it for your benefit.
"We are currently experiencing an issue processing withdrawals to Indian bank accounts. As a result, there may be some delay in withdrawals from your PayPal account to your bank account.
We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused, and are doing all we can to resolve the issue."
This is just for your information. If someone else has got payment in their bank account please do share the information. If I get it within the next few days I shall also keep you posted.

Paypal's service in India is really having problems nowadays. There are many issues that they are saying need to be addressed. So lets just hope that have it fixed in shorter time. It has affected so many and i think they will really have a long term solution to this. If they don't its a two way problem. Their business will be lame.

Hi Kala,
Its nice that paypal has sent you a notification…I was coming across all sorts of frightening posts here about Paypal withdrawing operations from India and so on. I do hope this glitch is sorted our soon and you get your cash.
BTW I have not yet withdrawn money from Paypal to my bank a/c. my Paypal a/c is unverified as I don’t have any credit or debit card though I do have a bank a/c. Can I withdraw money from my Paypal a/c to my bank without credit or debit card? Does paypal have a list of Indian banks which it supports? I’m thinking of withdrawing cash as I’m tired of buying online…so just thought of asking.

OK...so what did you do to get the money? You just typed in your bank's IFSC code and your name in the verifications boxes at Paypal? I have my a/c with Central Bank. Can you pls tell me in details the procedure of how you withdraw your money?

Yes you can. My account was not verified and I had withdrawn money on several occasions (@ 50 INR if it is less than 7000 INR). Only now I have verified my account. Verification gives you an advantage of withdrawing more than 500$ per month.
With all those issues going on, we have to wait for it though. But, I guess, we can always ask for check at a charge of 5$ per transaction.

Hi kala, I had transferred some money from my paypal account into my bank account and I got a confirmed mail from paypal quoting the rates and the transaction details. But the money never got transferred into the account because of the problem, but thankfully it has been put safely?? back in my bank account. Now we have to wait and hope that reserve bank and paypal come to a mutual understanding and we are ableto carry on as before ..

Hi kalav - paypal is trying to resolve the issue! If it is not able to, there is a possibility that the amounts will be sent to all of us through alternate means. I dont think there is any need to be perturbed about it. :) Take it easy. :) Everything will be fine soon enough.

It is annoying. If the issue is not resolved then what happen to those amount of paypal account. The admin of paypal should take the matter seriously. It is not their amount. And people is loss the amount in transaction then it will have a bad effect on online transaction.

Let us be optimistic; I am hopeful thta the issue will get respolved soon.
If, by chance, I get the money in my account I shall write it here. We will all wait.I am sure paypal would resolve the issue because they would lose business if people shift to other payment methods.

I am optimistic. And think that end will be resulted in good end. But question mark is occurs with their activity to denying to pay some users of particular countries. So immediate resolve of this critical situation is the only solution for this. Otherwise who will trust on online payment system.

The good thing is that the transitional money has now gotten back into our respective accounts. Which means, we can withdraw it through check (at a charge b 5$ debit) if nothing hopeful comes through. But I think, the issue will be resolved soon. Both Paypal and RBI have to moderate their demands.
Let's keep our fingers crossed.

Do not be in a hurry to withdraw many to your bank account ;I have withdrawn it but the amount is not seen anywhere till now, either in my bank account or back in my paypal account.I am sure they would resolve it soon but till then do'nt withdraw.Perhaps if you are in quick need of money you can request a cheque ir transfer it to your credit card [if you have no qualms about this credit card business/I don't transfer it to credit cards].]
I shall let you all know if the transferred money is seen in my bank account.

Hi Kalav,
Even i received the mail last week for the same problem i had given the bank details for confirming but the small deposits what they had sent was not credited due to the same issue. Let us hope for the best and let this problem get sorted soon.
Have a great day.
