What does this mean?

I received this email just a few minutes ago from myLot and do not have a clue what they are referring to: This is a notification from myLot. Your answer has been deleted because the question it was under was deleted. Thank you for using myLot! Talk about guessing games, what answer to what discussion. Cryptic to say the least. Is this one on their improvements??? Has anyone had an email from myLot like this? I cannot ask myLot because I have nothing I can refer them to. Any help?

Another thing we're working on is the fixing of broken links such as the ones I just posted. If you copy and paste the links, they'll work.

Thanks for the information. I see I am not the only one who was confused. I was also having problems with links not working so thanks for clearing that up as well.

I received 2 of these. I fear my rating will drop. Why are they deleting conversations?

Did you not read Alice's response (response #1) it is a glitch of some kind. Deleted discussions or responses has no impact on your rating only on your postings count.

It only affecfts your post count and possible earnings if they were already tallied for the discussion/response that was deleted. As always..... HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

I just received at least three of those. They refer to a discussion I started some weeks ago, which was banned after a few hours. You may have been one of my respondants, so are therefore getting this notification. They really shouldnt be backdating these issues, as it confuses peopple. Receiving notification for a deleted discussion is fine, but probably it needed to start as from today, not from weeks ago.

Were they for very recent deletions or old ones?

The backlog apparently goes back about three weeks.

I think it will be great too but only when it lets you know what response to which discussion! However according to "Alice" it should not be so cryptic in the future.

wonttakelong, once we get the bugs worked out the notifications of deleted posts should be very beneficial to everyone. I'm glad you think so too. :)

I received 3 of them, saying a discussion was deleted I responded to. Baiscally, it just means the deiscussions were deleted for violating the ToS, and when thet happens they get deleted. There is 1 that I knew would get deleted, as I had told the newbie it would be, because that user had posted a referral link in the discussion, so I tld her or him, that it is a violation to do that. I told thaqt user to read the guidelines and ToS before posting, so they won't thave their discussions deleted and maybe get banned. The otjer 2. O a, not sure what teh discussions even were. I try to avoid posting to those I inow will get deleted, but then I want to help others too, so I will do it, knowing I will lose earnings too. Good luck to you and happy mylotting.

Not quite true it did not say the discussion has been deleted but my response had been deleted! Nothing to do with the type of discussion. Check response #1 from "Go ask Alice" for the explanation.

In response #1 "Alice" gave an explanation. Now I received another email which gave the title of the discussion but that did not help me very much. Supposedly they are going back about 3 weeks or so and I cannot remember off the top of my head what the discussion was about.

I got one of those too. It would help if they would say "your answer to the discussion 'insert title here' was deleted...." so that atleast we'd know what discussion they were referring to. Now let's see if this discussiion stays around, of if they are going to send us another one, because we all responded to THIS one. LOL

Yes I also recieved a notification of the same thing. Nothing to state which discussion was deleted. I hope they fix that to relate to which was deleted. As always..... HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

It must have been the same discussion I responded to. What question??? Do they mean a discussion I responded to was deleted? Which bloody one?? I went back through the prior days' responses and could not ascertain if one was missing. I had sarcastically answered one or two rubbishy posts that day but they were still there. They don't even give a date so they may be referring to a deletion which occurred months ago...who knows??

This is an excellent improvement, I think, at least it will be when we know what post was deleted. I wonder if we'll also told if action has been taken in the event that we report someone for abuse and also if the offenders will be told what they did wrong, so hopefully they don't do it again. hi whiteheather we all have been getting those and goaskAlice said its a glitch that they will fix by the next mailing, they were supposed to name the discussions that were deleted but didn't get it done for some reason. Yes I was confused too until I read all the other posts from other mylotters who got the same thing.

That certainly is a cryptic message I must admit, the wording of it even confused me, it sounded like some kind of a riddle

I receive this emails to like many times in one day but I was actually thinking this is part of mylot's thing these days on how to improve their system. As they said, they are working on it these days too so maybe a few days or hours from now everything is gonna be back to normal or maybe even better. =)
