Have you had this problem?

Although notify is still on, I am not being notified when my friends start a new discussion. This is the third day that it's been happening, and it has never happened before, am I missing something or has this happened to others?

Have I had this problem? Oh yeah, it's a perpetual problem with me. Notifiers are turned on, boxes are checked, yada, yada, yada, and I receive NO messages about anything or anybody. Even changed my e-mail addy and got the verification message, but nothing since. *sighs* Ah, well...c'est la vie.

LaDeBoheme, do you receive the daily digest? Have you added the following three email addresses to your address book, white list, etc.? accounts@mylot.com dailyemail@mylot.com discussions@mylot.com

Hi GoAskAlice, funny you should ask about the daily digest, because yes, I was receiving that regularly and unchecked that box, BUT that is the only box I have unchecked. Yes, I added the 3 addys to my address book, and I still check my Junk Mail folder, but nothing has changed. Right after I joined, I did receive notices for about 2 days, but it ceased after that and I haven't seen anything more since.

I have that with a couple of my Friends and I really don't understand why as everyone elses I get just not these 2 Friends

It has not happened to me. Did you check the spam folder? Try to use an email address such as gmail and try to use this account for mylot only. Try to remove your cache settings. Other than that I think its best to contact the mylot administration but I guess it has to do with some settings in your computer.

Hi Pose why this has happened to me upteen times....I still cannot comprehend how this happens ,but sometimes I do not get a notification when some of my close friends start a discussion....And it is much later when I get some messages from them or others that I realise I had missed out on such discussions..... But this is a real surprise coming from you Pose...he..he....I thought the wise owl was always unruffled by such silly goofings of mylot...he..he......just kidding....

On the contrary Pose, I kept on deleting notification when my friends started discussion as it overflows my mails, anyway I always go to my friends started discussion's section everytime I do mylotting, so it can be a waste of time for me reading all the notification. Though maybe to others this could be a big help but I find it time consuming as I can go directly to my friends started discussions. Not to offend others, just my view, on thix topic. Thanks...

It is strange and I'd like to get to the bottom of it with your help. While nothing has changed on your end, that doesn't mean that your email provider hasn't made a change you don't know about. Can you add the three email addresses to your address book or approved senders list, or whatever your email provider calls it? Here they are again just in case: accounts@mylot.com dailyemail@mylot.com discussions@mylot.com Can you double check your notification preferences? Since we recently had a significant upgrade I need to make sure the problem isn't a result of something we did. Please check here: www.mylot.com/nr/friends.aspx?t=0 to verify the notifications are turned on. Then, check here www.mylot.com/nr/editNotifications.aspx to make sure all of the boxes are checked. I'll watch for your response. Thanks!
