by accident of course!
I kept my phone in a holder on my belt. When I leaned over to flush the toilet, the phone fell out and into the water! I had a jerk reaction and grabbed the phone! I was letting it dry out but the outside started getting hot so I knew the battery had gotten too wet! I took it in and traded it in.. Told them it drowned!
What's your crazy cell phone story?

:) I didn't drop a cell phone in the toilet but once my sunglasses fell in and I had the same knee-jerk reaction as you. After I was thinking "gross! I touched that!" So did they give you a new one with no problem?
I guess my crazy cell phone story is just that my cell phone is crazy - apparently this phone is notorious for touch screen problems and it turns out mine is just one of the many that has a mind of it's own. Often I'll be sitting across the room from it and it will light up as if it was touched. For awhile I thought I had a ghost

lol!
I had to buy a brand new phone. I didn't have any insurance. They thought it was a funny story though!

Ahahahaha! I slipped my phone in the tub where I was washing my clothes. LOL.
I was washing my clothes and my hand was all soapy when a text message came in, so I tried to read it, but my hand was to slippery that the phone slipped and landed on the soapy water. I had to blow dry my phone to dry it, at first it said error or something, but after a few minutes it worked again ( thank goodness for that! )

Just occurred to me, yet another reason The Anti-Tech doesn't want a cell phone. TAT is also The World's Biggest Klutz! I can just see myself having to fish it out of the cat litter or the Throne someday!
Nupe. I'm gonna stick to land lines, thank yew...

Don't have a story. Don't have a cell phone. I just wish I had a cell phone, but I lack the funds. Crazy, isn't it?

I really don't have any cellphone stories except that I do have a touchscreen phone, and I wilol invariably for soem rason call people that I have no intention of calling, eespecially my insurance company. Everytime, I pull it out of the case, I had called it,a nd I will immediately end it, before they answer.
My daughter said that I had called her like that a few times, and she would say hello and I wasn't there.
I guess I will have to start locking it so I don't acciedentally call, but it seems when I lock it, it will shut itself off or n at a moment's notice. I don't know why it does that, but it does. I am getting so frustrated when it happens too. I will probably upgrade soon, as I am it has to many glitches in it and I never know from one day to the next when it will happen again. Now, this aonly happens when it is in the case, otherwise it won't do it. Take care, and ahppy mylotting.

I would like to upgrade, but I don't want to crank out the money for a new phone! I'm a tight wad. I pretty well use the phone only for a phone and texts so I don't need all the frills and whistles!

I drowned one of my old phones too. I hadn't planned on it of course, but it happened. I was less then pleased. I was doing some cleaning and my phone (case included) popped off my hip, and into a litter box filled with soapy liquid water. I took the phone out of the case, and took it apart as quick as I could, but the damage had been done. T-mobile phones have a water-damage indicator and that puppy was bright red. I knew I was in for it when I saw that.
Though I still think the soda inscedent was funnier.
A few years ago not long after my partner and I had just met. He took me out to dinner after work one evening. It wasn't fancy it was burger king, but it was still plesent. Well... I had ordered a soda and my phone was in my purse. Well soda falls and my purse gets drentched.. as does my phone... I was mad when it had happened, but now I look back on it I can't help but laugh.

That is sooo funny! I have never done anything as comical as that with my cell phone, but I have spilled Mountain Dew on one before. Thankfully, it still worked once it dried out, but I got rid of it soon afterwards anyway because no matter how hard I tried, I just couldn't quite get all of the sticky off of it. Another time, I dropped my cell phone, unknowingly at the gas station while I was pumping gas. I got all the way home, which was a 30 mionute drive away before I realized that I had dropped it somewhre. I drove back and was lucky enough to find it. It was lying in a small pot-hole near the gas pump, and hadnm't been damaged at all.

My cellphone flew out of my car at about 50mph...and survived without damage.
The phone was on my cousins coat on the floor in front of him. I don't remember what the phone was doing there, so don't ask me xD When he wnet to put on his coat, he flung it aroiund him and in this action, the cellphone went flying through the open window beside him. We stopped and he went running to get it. about 5 min later he came back and it was intact! And working! This happned about 1 year ago and I was still using the same phone until a few weeks back, when I finally got a new one. Phones from long ago were so much resistent...
