yes, its already happened in my province, here a teen aged girl is found in form of hypertrichosis but all the villegers are beginning to treat her as a representative of lord hanuman. bcoz as lord hanuman, she has hair in her entire face. how funny? your reaction?

hello dear bhai,
This is really sad when people lack of knowledge that they would jump into conclusions.
This is common in areas where superstition is much believed and well observed.
People will always connect something unusual to gods, animals, and even evil things.
And we cannot blame those people, but,we can at least help them realized and give them information...slowly,with a little bit perseverance.
We cannot let them believed in us in one whole day and changed their mind for the next day.
Sometimes...it will even lead into misunderstanding and even with contradiction to their beliefs and knowledge.
Lets just hope that,we can help our villagers become more educated.

I agree with Jaiho here. All you can do is try and educate your fellow villagers. But do it cautiously so as not to offend anyone and make them feel ignorant, they will not listen at all if you are unkind.
The best thing to do is if you have a friend that is following the superstitions, talk to him or her maybe say "You know I was reading about that girls condition and there are more people like her" maybe if you have a medical dictionary somewhere you can show them what the disease is and how it happens. I know there are several people in Mexico with this disease as well.
Good luck.

Hi didi and olydove. No, no effort is required here and all are in vain bcoz u can change the thoughts of an uneducated person, but who r u to tell someting beyond his thought who r better educated than u. Yes, she is treated same by educated persons too. When media begins to telecast the matter then we have noting to do. Education n knowledge are something different. Thanks to both of u.

Hi ckyera, sorry for the word funny.
No, its not the matter of ignorancy or lack of education. U cant blame them bcoz they are villegers where people from cities are gathering around her. They wants some solutions and believe that they will find it through this men made prophet. Thanks.

Hi Shibham,
It is a sad situation indeed, you just think about the girl. People are taking advantage on her and the ‘quality’ thinking by people may be one of her pain
. This kind of superstitions may be badly affected her life. Sometimes educated people also support these kinds of superstitions
. What a pity

Hi sree. A rush of educated people is hanging in front of her doorstep. U dont think that the girl is suffering a lot or she feels as victimised. She is enjoying the act of people towards her even she is happy for the provided food and money. Realy pity.

It's a shame that she would be treated differently because of her disorder. There are a lot of people that treat people as though they are second class because of something about them that makes them different. I think that I would be surprised to see someone that I wasn't expecting with hair covering them but after the shock wore off, I wouldn't.

Sad. Need to educate people more. And if she fails in performing the miracles expected of her, will be she burnt alive as some sorceress? :( Even the child will start thinking she is unusual. :(
