I logged in to twitter a few minutes ago, and I noticed one of the trending topics was "Shamu Stadium." As a animal/Seawolrd/whale lover, I clicked on it to see what was going on. Everyone was tweeting that a orca whale trainer was killed by one of the whales- I googled CNN right away, and aparently its true. A trainer at Sea World Orlando was killed earlier today- at the time I checked there were no detailed except for that the trainer was DOA. Whatever it is, I'm sure that it was a one-in-a-million instance, and was no one "fault." What I am concerned about is how the American public is going to react; I'm so worried that people are going to be all humanistic and call the whales "monsters," "dangers" and "should be put down." o-o

I don't think all whales are dangerous but the one that did this was. The stated that this whale had been involved in three fatal incounters and they were wondering what should be done with it. My feeling on this is that they should be in their natural habitat and an aquarium surely does not fit this description. We have to remember that these animals are preditors by nature and they have to kill to survive in the wild. This animal was only doing what was natural to it and unfortuantely the trainer lost her life.

Don't worry.I don't think people will react strongly on this accident, even those most humanistic ones. All faults are humans'.It was us that caught those animals and force them to perform. The animals are all innocent,no matter what they have done to us human beings. We made they suffer so lot of disasters.I think we have no right to accuse the wild animals for everything.

Sadly, I don't think many people are actually going to care beyond a "That's a real shame"
