VHS to DVD vid enhancement

I have a number of digital files which are conversions of VHS videos. The quality is far from digital. I'd like to find software which is low cost, and fast which would clean up the grainy video to something approaching HQ quality. I'm testing software called vReveal right now but one file looks like it may take over 24hrs to run. Any thoughts/recommendations?
