Is there a place to hide?

Is there any place to go, or there's only nowhere to hide? Eartquake hit Chile... What else? Recently this year, Haiti was also attacked by the mother nature. Philippines was challenged by the economic crisis brought by many typhoons and floods... What's next? Tidal waves? Tsunami? Expert said there would be none, but mother nature is so powerful nobody could perfectly predict... Is this the beginning? Is there a lot more?

I am chilean and I woke up at a little over 3 AM on Saturday by an earquake. I live alone and I fear earthquakes since I was a kid so my bedroom is in the first floor although I have a two story house. I did not find my shoes (that were by my bedside) and ran out. My late husband was a builder and this house is absolutly asismic. Moreover, there are no cables that go above ground. So I could stand in the garden looking at the waves that shook my apricot tree, praying and talking to my dog (who is not afraid of earthquakes). Afyer what seemed hours, the earth stopped shaking. I went back to my room (no lights anywhere) and got some clothes and shoes just in case. A little leater, my son in law came to take me home with my daughter. This is not the first big earthquake we have had, nor will it be the last one. We are in a place where two techtonic plaques meet. There nothing esoteric about it not it can be compared with an economic crisis. If there is a volcano somewhere, it came erupt. If you don´t have volcanoes, I doubt that one will appear from nowhere (unless it´s volcano land). I think ehat every place has its good points and its bad points. We, chileans, have eathquakes. We do not have tornadoes or hurricanes. And economic crisis is a man made disaster. There are greedy people that want too much and there are some people that are famishing.

Sad to hear that my friend... Maybe that earthquake in 1960 was filmed, I don't know what's the title, I have seen years ago that their geographical area was changed forever, because the other part was separated by a fault resulted from earthquake and occupierd by sea water... You know my friend, every parts of the world experiences some kind of disaster/catastrophe... I don't know if this is the beginning of the end of the world... I had watched the 2012 filmed, I was really distructed and bothered by it... and it seemed that all that happened now is just a part of it... But faith would help us overcome any fear inside us now... prayer and faith... Don't worry my friend... we are always including you and the whole chile in our prayers... I pray that all those lot lives were taken now by the Hands of our Almighty.... And we pray that there is no more to come... Not now that we are facing the great sorrow and crisis brought by it... God bless you my friend... and your whole family and entire fellows...

Hi! I am not that good in Geography, but as i know CHili is over some tectonic plates, where the tectonic plates are hitting in each other and cause an earthquake. but not only that can cause an earthquake. one underground volcano can cause it too. and that's why I think there is really no place where we can hide

Geographically and scientifically speaking my friend you are right... earthquakes is a result of the movements of the earth crust... I could still remember my lessons in high school about that... usually it would be followed by tidal waves...

Experts said there would be none? Hmmm..They can never know for sure. I believe there would be a LOT more. Just this few months many consecutive earthquakes have occurred. Mother Nature is really angry because of human activities. We can only blame ourselves for what is happening right now.

There would be none for this time of course, nobody could perfectly predict about it... at least it gave a little peace of mind... we are worried here, specially our place is located in a coastal area... we are just little luck because we are not facing in the open say... there is one island not in distant covering us... Yes, I believe too there is lot more to come... I am just praying mother nature could forgive us... and give bearable calamities instead...

To find a place to settle for the best of your security is something so hard to do. But to fully trust into Him our fate in our lives and the rest of it be done according to his teachings is the best choice to lessen our anxieties. Hakuna Matata. No worries. "Not because God is in our hearts but because we are in the heart of God."

Place allow me: Hakuna Matata what language my friend? You are right my friend... a place for our security during this time is very hard to find... or there is just nowhere... but if we hold on to His teachings... and give fully our fate and trust on Him, then we would find ourselves secure... Hakuna Matata... even in the very open... He has purpose for this though...
