I know, March doesn't start until tomorrow, but its blowing a gale out there.
We often don't get those weather "rhymes" like other places.
"March come in like a lion and out like a lamb" or "April showers bring May flowers."
Actually, in Texas, most of the flowers are GONE by May.
None the less, its looking promising for that Lion stuff this year - and they are promising more cold weather this week!
so, I'll enjoy the sun while it shines and maybe even pry myself off the puter long enough to out an in it for a bit...
So, how's the weather in your neck of the woods? doing the "lion bit?

I don't know what the weather's doing up here today, as I have not been out yet. It sure snowed a couple of days ago. The bus got stuck in the middle of Gordon Street, and it took us an hour and a half to move a mile up the road. I can't wait till winter is finally over. Spring can't come soon enough for me.

We always have cold weather or snow in the beginning of March. One year we had a blizzard in March. This year is colder and more snowy than any previous year, so I think it will hold true. We are tied with the record of the 5th snowiest February,(at least the last time I heard it was 5).
It seems that winter will never end this year. Well, January and February anyway. November and December were not bad at all. We have made up for it though.
I am outside of Pgh., and some states further towards the east near the ocean have had it much worse than us!@cerebellum (3863)

Our summer wasn't even very hot. Well, not in long stretches anyway. It would be 90 one day and 60 the next.
I think it is cold all over the country. My brother lives in Tampa,Florida and it is cold there also. At one point it was colder here than it was in Alaska!1 person likes this

The weather's getting hotter by the day here, but I have no complaints.. because I choose not to. Doesn't make sense, I know, ha..
Actually I try not to think of it, though I've been sweating profusely. Suddenly I adore you guys there with the snow.. or the ones with cold weather..

March is all set to do the lion thing here in Ohio. Tomorrow we'll have windy weather with freezing drizzle and maybe a little snow. Slippery and blustery!!
I love my 4 seasons and appreciate them all but I'm heartily tired of winter and more than ready for spring!

hi ElicBxn wow a gale, but here its just a gentle breeze and the sun is out today.yesterday it rained all day, and my son did nt come to see me because it was really pouring so he should come today. Its odd that we seldom have hard winds here but when we do they can be really bad like blowing down trees and powerlines too. so no lion here yet.

Today is, allegedly, the first day of Spring but although we have some bright sunshine today, it's freezing cold and with quite a strong wind. We had a sharp frost overnight which seems to have lingered long into the day and I'm hoping it will gradually improve over the next few days

Things are melting, but we're supposed to get some more flurries tonight. Not sure what animal will show up. Last year I think it was a soggy lion, but I can't remember. I suppose I should have gone out today but I didn't even bother getting dressed!

No lion here yet. I am still hoping though. There is a snow/rain mix here most all day but if the weather is right, we may actually have a bit of sun this weekend. I am so ready for it..oh...I did see some tulips coming up in my yard but I'm afraid that they will freeze.

Hi ElicBxn, it is March 1st, out here in Hyderabad, India. And it is hot! I am sweating! I cant sit without a fan. :) I dont start using AC until middle of this month. That is because this heat gets worse in April and May. If I start now, I wont find much difference by that time. :) Waiting for another 15 days to go by. :)

last year by this time we'd already run the ac a few times, in between the heater you understand, this year, while we've opened the windows a few times, mostly we've been shivering!
Today - raining off and on, and its turned cold, again - got up to upper 50's and now down in the 40's... lemme drag out my phone and see what that is in C... 13º C now 9º C... supposed to be going down to 3º C

March is still like a lion here without the blowing wind. There's still enough snow on the sidewalks that we have to walk in the street. I see some more snow fronts are on the move though.

Friday we had 60 mile per hour winds. Yesterday was great with snow melting and 40 degrees. Today was fog, the snow, then sunshine, then snow, but none of the snow did anything but melt. So now it's wet and muddy. We'll see what tomorrow brings. It seems like every day is different, but that's the North Country for you, if you don't like the weather, wait a little while, it will change.

We had a big dump of snow, about a foot, a couple of days ago. It has been thawing and melting since. So, for us, now, it seems like a lamb. I think that was our last big snowfall of the year and we are now on our way into spring.

Hey Elic! Here in NY we are getting the Lamb thing too thank
goodness! So far we have been promised temps near 40 and no
snow! We were maybe supposed to get another storm on Wednesday,
but it looks like it will only be rain since the temps will
be high enough to keep that white stuff away! Yippe! And maybe
give that white stuff sometime to melt and disappear! One can
only hope and pray! And I, for one will be doing both!

Today is the first day of autumn for us but it is still so hot! We live near the vet clinic and we were going to walk the dog down for her annual shots; we took one step outside and decided to jump in the car, turn the air conditioning on and drive her down there! I’m not complaining though because I hate winter and feeling cold...I guess it will be here before I know it...
