Extremely contraversal new judge appointee from Obama

I don't know if this guy has a prayer of getting confirmed. But law professor Goodwin Liu has been nominated by Obama for 9th Circuit Court...a step below the supreme court. He has an impressive background....but his reguard..or lack there of for the constitution is scarey. "Applications of constitutional text and principles must be open to adaptation and change ... as the conditions and norms of our society become ever more distant from those of the Founding generation." Well ya...it is called making an amendment to the constitution. Done by Congress. But he seems to think he can "change" it how ever he feels cause he is a "judge". Yet another judge who thinks he can legislate from the bench. What do you think? Has he got a prayer? Should he have a prayer of getting confirmed? I am hoping he doesn't. A judges job is to uphold the law and constitution...not change it to what he see fit on any given day. If he wants to change the law or constitution...than he need to run for congress...not be a judge.
