I have unpacked scrubbed the Flat which nearly killed me
I will not have Internet until about the end of March which I am not happy about but well I will just have to try and be patient
I have settled in I am nice and warm At the moment I am using one of these Dongle things and they are not very good lol but better then nothing I will have this till Wednesday so I will about at times
There are still things to do here but I have overdone the first 2 Days and I am suffering for it now
The Place was mess it took a lot of scrubbing but it took me a while as I had to keep stopping because my Lungs where saying enough lol and I could not breathe so good
So the other bits will have to wait now as I need to get a grip of myself and get rid of the Pains, the breathing is getting a bit better now so I am getting there
So if you have moved, have you settled down?

So happy to hear you have survived. Although I am surprised that the apartment was not already spotless before your started to unpack. Gissi will have plenty of new smells to keep him occupied while you get rested up.!

I'm kinda surprised too! Usually when you go to move into a place it is usually already clean! I sure hope miss gabs rests and takes it easy or else ...

I agree with both of you it is frustrating I've had that happen a few times to me now where I've had to clean the old place as well as the new place.....

Hey there Sweetie. You best be taking it easy. If I were nearer to you I would have made certain that you didn't lift a finger to move. You don't need to make yourself ill.
I am hoping to make a move within the next few months. Not really looking forward to packing everything, but the thought of a new place gets me giddy.
Big huggers to you and Gissi.

I moved a little over 4 years ago, wasn't fun, all the way from Los Angeles to Sacramento. The day we moved in was pouring rain and we have a very steep driveway. It doesn't totally feel like home though and I suspect I'll have to be moving in the not too distant future.
Don't over do!
But how is Gissi going to manage without a computer? :-)

Hey Gaby,
We finally moved on Wed. the 3rd. My hubby is still going back and forth to the house trying to tie up loose ends. I am so exhausted and my lungs and stomach just hurt and I keep having to rest with my oxygen on. I don't know how you managed all alone. At least I didn't have to scrub the place. I just wrote a whole paragraph just to look up and see it not there. grrrr!!
Hubby moved 3 bedrooms, a garage and 3 closets full of stuff into this 2 bedrrom and very little storage apartment. Now I'm going to unpack and repack stuff we have no room for and donate it to the needy. I hope I have learned this time to stop being such a pack rat!!! It's killing me.
How is Gissi adjusting? Dexter is doing pretty good except when we both leave for a little while. He poops in the apt. to let us know he doesn't appreciate being left alone. I don't blame him but he also hates going in the car.
Well sweetie, don't work too hard.
Hugssss

I am glad you are resting tho and guess gissi is too rigt?
And, hey I might be getting a new puppy today.
My old dog, about 20 plus is not doing well and my other dog,Galeena
is sullen and lonely now cuz the old dog is not as playfull or responisive as she used to be.
I talked to a lady yesterday and she should be bringing the male pups from the litter to let me look at them. I'll know I'll just melt :)
But, sooo glad you are safe and warm.

Well you know I'm planning a move very soon. But regardless, I will NOT be settled down until YOU are! You better be having a cuppa and sitting on your butt as you read this or I'll have to reach through the screen and smack you! LOL

Hi sweet,
You have been very naughty but I do understand why you had to clean and scub so much, and I know that you want the place nice and clean and become your home, not having someone elses dirt hanging about, but you really have to look after yourself and rest as much as possible, DO YOU HEAR!!! love and hugs.

I have not moved but I'm hoping to this year. I look forward to it but not the packing and unpacking. I'm like you I work and work till I can't do anymore. Its best that you rest for a few days to get your body rested to finish the job. Good luck to you and sorry about the internet that is a long time to wait. Stay healthy!

Congrats on getting the place cleaned up and on your move. I hope you enjoy it. I haven't moved in about 5 years, and I don't plan to move again for another 50. (Now that would make me 110; that should do.) I built a new house in 2005 and did all the cleaning up after construction myself. It took me months to get every room cleaned up and stuff moved in, but now, I'm on the last "project". I have a little piece of the yard to de-weed, lay down weed retardant, pick up and lay down native rock and plant three trees. (Then I'll probably start all over, painting, re-varnishing, window cleaning...NOT!)

Everyone told you to take it easy. Now, take care of yourself and pace yourself, it doesn't all have to be done yesterday.
Right that's your telling off over, glad you're settled and warm.
Hugs to you and I hope you will be happy in your new home.

Gabs I am so glad you have gotten moved. i do not think I know what settled down really is and I never move. I will look forward to hearing about the adventure of you and Gissi getting moved. Meanwhile rest up a bit. I am only going to one or two more discussions then I am calling it a night.

The Rental Authority law here requires a house to be commercially cleaned before a new tenant moves in. Wasn't the house cleaned? Were the new carpets, stove and shower in? Have arrangements been made re the painting?
Gaby I KNEW you would overdo things but I was hoping you wouldn't - and didn't think you would need to have to clean as well as unpack. P-L-E-A-S-E take it easy!
How is Gissi liking it? Does he have his chewies? and his cushions? It won't be long before he has the whole town loving him.
Please take care.

Hi there Cloud it is so good to see you
He was suppose to have the Flat cleaned the Carpets where in well partly, the Cooker they fitted that Night and the next Night the Shower
The redecorating is scheduled for in a couple of month and it will be my Son who will be doing it as the Landlord asked if Mike would come and do it
As for Gissi well his Chair had to be put up as soon as there was room, his Chewy and Cushions where straight there on the Floor lol
Big Hugs to you

Gabs!!!
So good to see you and to hear that you've made the move (tho Lakota told us you had.)
I hear ya about having to do things in bits, I'm way behind again here on the lot because I've been doing things at the house (or recovering from doing them!)
I saw your note, tho, and HAD to respond to YOU!!!
we LOVE you Gabbers!!! (that's what we call Gabby cat when she's being especially cute!)

Hi Gabs,
I am glad that you finally got moved and that you are finally warm..Sorry you had to do so much cleaning..It has been three years since I moved to another state..I bought a house and it needed some cleaning..Fortunately I have a sister who helped me .She would not let me do too much because I also have breathing problems and other health problems..My son also helped with the cleaning..
You get plenty of rest and take care of yourself.
Hugs to you and Gissi.

I remember when I moved it felt like all the work that had to be done would never end. But, eventually we got the things out of boxes and we have what appears to be an apartment instead of a storage unit. So that's always good.
THough don't over do it with the cleaning, that's an endless process in itself.
