A friend was talking about this new lil gadget http://www.amazon.com/Bounce-Dryer-Bar-Outdoor-Clamshell/dp/B002BH4TTI I dunno that I'd like it. I mean you stick it in the inside of your dryer I'd be afraid of the residue left from the adhesive getting on my clothes. Plus w/ my son having eczema I can't use it anyway I can only use it w/ everyone elses loads of wash but his. But still an interesting idea to make things a lil easier when it's not necessary. I can chuck in a dryer sheet w/o much effort can you? *LOL*

we got one of these from my mother in law and we really like it. i think you are right, it is much easier to use than trying to remember to throw in dryer sheets and it is prolly cheaper in the long run.

mmm..i still kind of prefer the liquid softener you put in the washer.at least some of the residue is washed away.i just have to be there when it hits the right cycle to put it in.

got an old washer? I like the liquid kind too but w/ ds's skin issues I can't really use it much anymore. But I use it alot on comforters for everyone (but DS) really likes the great smell of freshly laundered bedding + fabric softner.

i'm not sure how old our washer is..it was given to us.can't be younger than 8 tho.. funny,my mother used to get outbreaks of ecsema (sp?) but it went away.we never did find out what triggered it..couldn't have been the softener in her case tho,it was before i used it.

That's not a new idea, I remember seeing that a few years ago. I wouldn't want it for my dryer, I prefer the dryer sheets. Speaking of dryer sheets, I always bought the Walmart brand and it was very good. This last box I bought, though, left the clothes full of static!

New idea to me. But I guess I just buy what I like to buy and skip all the rest of the hub-bub in the aisle. That sux you had problems with that box. I wonder if there's a # on there, maybe you can complain? Sometimes they'll send you a replacement ect?

I bought this about a month ago just to try it out. I sometimes forget whether or not I've put in a dryer sheet, so I like that this makes it easier. It does work pretty well. There's no static on my clothes, and they seem just as soft as if I'd used a dryer sheet. The bar doesn't last as long as the box promised it would.. but I do at least 2 loads a day, so I guess the fact that it has lasted a month is pretty good. I need to replace it this weekend.

I hear ya about doing 2 loads a day! I usually do 1-2 a day here on this end. I'm sure it'll be up to 2 once they are in bigger sizes.

I have seen these on television and I am on the fence about these. I have told my husband that I think it would be neat to check it out and see how it would work but I would be afraid like you that it would either leave a residue or even ruin the dryer. I myself don't use dryer sheets anymore, I use fabric softener in the washer and then I use dryer balls in the dryer...a few summers ago when we were out visiting my mother in law I had saw that she was using these dryer balls in her dryer. The funny thing is is that when we were out there and I went to go throw my clothes into her dryer I thought that these dryer balls were a toy that was left in there by her cat and I thought it was funny and so i went to tell her and she told me that it was suppose to be in there and what it was so when we returned back home I went ahead and got them for our dryer and have been using them every since. With both the fabric softener and the dryer ball it makes the clothes so much softer and the static is still as less as it is when I was using dryer sheets but saves me a lot more money..

I got a coupon for a pretty good discount on these the other day, but I wasn't sure then that I wanted to try them out, and because of the mixed reaction that I've seen from people on here, I'm still not sure that I want to try them out. I guess it almost ends up that this is a case of you have to try it for yourself to see if it works for you. I know that I almost never remember to put in a dryer sheet and about half of the time I forget to put in the liquid softener so if it would end up working out for me, it would be a wonderful thing.

I got one of these for free and I loved it. I didn't notice any residue on my clothes although I've seen some reviews where people said it did that. Dryer sheets always drive me nuts. Not only do we seem to run out a lot, but also they end up all over the house. When I'm folding laundry a lot of times the sheet slips out and ends up somewhere that I don't notice. I like the dryer bar, but we haven't needed to replace it yet. So we'll see how long it lasts and if it's worth it in the long run.

There is no residue. I mean it is always possible someone else has a different experience than I have, but it doesn't leave any trace of anything on the clothes. And it saves me from having to remember to put a fabric softener sheet. I used one for the allotted four months, but am now using the dryer sheets again. I like them both equally really.

I don't know much about this topic, or much about this product. But something tells me that I should respond to this discussion. Something about the title I think! Have a great day!

I have to use public dryers. I would worry about forgetting it when the sheets could easily be replaced if forgotten. I really don't favor that you know? I would probably get it if I didn't have to use and pay for the washing machines and dryers, but that's part of living in an apartment complex.
