Do you plan to watch Ali as the next Bachelorette?

When Ali was on The Bachelor, I liked her to a point. I thought she was great for Jake. Then she left, and said work was more important. Then she tried to come back, then I didn't like her anymore. This is when I started to realize she probably just was trying to be the next Bachelorette!
When they announced her as the new Bachelorette, I was annoyed. The girl supposedly couldn't get off of work long enough to be with the man she said she was falling in love with... yet now she can take off even more time for her own season?
On the "After the Final Rose" special, she was very annoying. I couldn't imagine watching a whole season of just her. So I plan to skip it. This will be the first one in awhile that I'm actually planning not to watch at all. I just don't care if she finds love or not. And I could use a season off :)
What do you think? Will you watch Ali as the Bachelorette?

I don't think I will be watching the next installment of the Bachelorette with Ali. To be honest, I just don't think that the Bachelorette is as interesting to watch as the Bachelor. I only watched the first two episodes of Jillian's show before I got bored and started watching something else. Guys living in a house are not as intresting to me as girls trying to get along and live together.
I would have loved to see Gia as the Bachelorette. I think she was the most down to earth gal that was there. (Tenley was down to earth too but way too boring to watch on a series all about her).
I think the difference with Ali now is that when she did the Bachelor... she must have only asked for a couple of weeks off (like she was going on vacation). I don't think that the contestants are allowed to say that they are going to be on the show. Now that the show is all about Ali.. she had to be upfront with her employer and tell them exactly how long she will be away. Also, it has come out that she works for facebook so it would probably make them look bad publicy if they didn't allow her to do the show. I agree with you that I too was annoyed when she left for her job.

I agree, The Bachelorette has never been as interesting. Well, they did put a lot of drama into Jillian's season with Wes's "stories" and Jake coming to "rescue" her etc etc, but that could have all been editing.
It is funny that as women, we still prefer to watch the catty girls in the house :) Most the guys on the Bachelorette are not that interesting most of the time, I agree.
I would have watched if it was Gia, she was such a sweet girl. Tenley would have been like a Disney movie, as the other girls said :)
Well I don't know if they are allowed to say or not, but I would imagine they are. HR is supposed to keep stuff confidential anyway. Even so, I do not know how most of these people get time off work (unless they just quit) but I feel like if you are willing to go into the reality world, you basically have to be willing to quit. Reality TV world always turns into people needing to do appearances, interviews, events, etc. So once you sign that contract, you better be willing to commit.
So you and I won't be watching this season :) I wonder if anyone will!

I was hoping that Ali and Jake would have been together because I don't see Jake and Vienna lasting. I also don't think Ali ever thought that she would be the next bachelorette when she walked away from the show. She is job oriented and she did not have a guarantee from Jake that he was going to pick her. So with the economy the way it is I understand why she left the show. Now she's either got the ok from her job for a leave or she left the job which I don't really think she did. I also heard her say on the "After the Final Rose show" that she was not going to let her job get in the way of finding happiness again. I plan on watching if it starts to get crazy like the Bachelor did I might not stay with it.

Well I don't buy the excuse that her job made her leave because I've been hearing it to often on different reality shows lately. I really think if these people can't get proper approval from their job, they don't deserve to be on the show. It should be a pre-requisite to turn in some kind of letter from your job saying it's OK for you to be off this long.
But that's not really the reason I don't care for her. She's just kind of annoying to me.
I am wondering if ABC will dream up some twists and turns this season, otherwise it might be a bit dull. I just imagine her crying all the time as she did near the end of the bachelor.

Hello,
I watch some of the Bachelor this season like last 5 shows and saw the Tell all of the women speak out about the show and Jake etc.. I think it was wrong too about Ali that she had to go back to work because she knew Jake was not into her... in order to cause controversy in the show and have the public pitty her and she gets to be picked as the Bachelorette. I think it should only be for the the last 3 ladies standing should be allowed to bachelorette because they made that far and the emotinal roller coaster etc.. and time away from work or family etc...
Yes, I plan to skip this season. I think the Bachelor wedding was too much too especially since he went back to his first pick etc... when he chose the other lady. It was paid for by the show producers etc... I just hope they are happy and no divorce especially since he has a child from a previous marriage.
Thanks and have a great day

I agree, it should be one of the last ladies standing. Gia would have been my pic for the next bachelorette. At least she stayed and really put her heart into it. Ali quit, and Ali is going to be crying all next season I know it.
I fast forwarded through the Bachelor Wedding. It was too much, you are right! They got the whole deal for free, plus vacations and goodies on top of it. I think they will stay together but the whole thing was a bit over the top.
