I was just wondering if anyone here has ever watched this show called Joan of Arcadia? It aired on CBS from 2003 until 2005 and was about a teenage girl named Joan Giradi. In the show, her brother was involved in a car wreck that he later survived but left him paralyzed from the waist down. Actually, Joan had prayed for God to please let him survive and, if he did, she would do whatever he wanted. It just so happens that in the first episode God comes to call in that offer. Basically, in the show, Joan is visited frequently by God. However, God constantly appears to Joan in different forms ranging from animals, to cute guys, to a Goth guy, to an elderly lady. Then in each episode, God has Joan do things that might look very trivial at first or whatever but are later revealed to have accomplished something pretty big. For example, in one episode, there's a guy at her high school that doesn't really fit in and is got of a troublemaker. God tells Joan to ask him to the dance, which she ends up doing. At the end, he ends up getting caught with something and I think ends up hurting some people. I could be wrong in what happens exactly because I'm not too familiar with the show and I've only read about this particular episode. But at the end, Joan asks God what was the point and he tells her that if she had NOT asked him, then he would have gone to school and shot people who would have later died. He basically tells her, "I know both turned out bad. But this was the least of the two." Truthfully, I have barely seen any of this show but I always thought it looked and sounded interesting. I have seen some of an episode or two, but not much. That said, does anyone here like it? Is it pretty good?

Periodically, the SyFy channel reruns episodes. They mini-marathons of shows during weekdays and I've seen this show there. Yu might need to check their schedule perodically and program a DVR.

A Syfy Channel marathon was actually how I first saw this show (what little I have of it, anyway). I'll check to see when their next one will be. It seems a lot of shows when I first really see them are because of that channel.

It's probably too late now but I noticed that an episode was on early in the morning one day this week. They may have been running one show each morning.

I loved this show it was such a good show at that time. I couldn't believe such a good show and they took it off the air. They always take the good shows off the air. Her brother was played by Jason Ritter who was John Ritter's son. John Ritter was the star of Three's Company.

I watched it and liked it mainly because of Amber Tamblyn doing such a good performance in it. I think they started running into trouble when they brought in the bad guy in opposition to Joan. To me it got worse than and wasn't as enjoyable to watch. As far as the particular episode you are talking about, I vaguely remember it and it was not one of the better ones.

hi DarthJustice, I do watch the show! It was aired in the Philippines on 2004, I think. I love the main character of that show (joan). shes really good. I saw her film recently, "Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants 1 & 2". I wish there are more shows like that.
