I know there's many organizations out there nowadays, but I'd like to know from someone who has an experience in this kind of things...what does it take for someone to start it? what do you need to get it started and all? If you for instance have a website and you have a goal what you wanna do with it...how do you get a sponsor for it? any help would be greatly appreciated and please be specific as much as you can and only write here if you really know how to work around those kinds of things

Once you have what you will be working for as a charitable organization, your first step should be to apply for your tax status as a 501c3 organization. This allows people that donate to your charity to be able to claim thier dontaions on their taxes. Often this paperwork is very cumbersome and requires the assistance of a CPA and/or lawyer to make sure that it is completed correctly. Once you have applied for this status and are approved then consider starting a writing campaign. Contact local business or national business depending on your charity that would have an interest in what you are doing. (ie if I were starting an animal humane charity, I would contact places like PetSmart, PetCo, local feed dealers, etc.) Be aware that when you contact them you are going to need quite a bit of information if you think they are going to give you their money. They are going to want to know thing like how many people are going to hit your site, why your charity is better than others like it, etc. Best of luck to you in getting your charity started.
