Bloggers, do you comment back?

Yesterday, I made a post on my blog about my opinions on the internet, and how rude little users post superiorly-opiniotaed comments somestimes.
I came on the computer today, and to my suprise- less than 20 hours later- I had three comments on that post. That's kind of odd for me, because most of my posts don't get any comments, ocassionally I'll get one on a post, but before this only one other post has gotten more than two comments. I was thrilled at the fact that people read that post, and even more so because one of the commenters agreed with me. ^-^
So my question is, if you have a blog, do you comment back on your own post in response to comments? or do you read the commenters' blogs and comment on them? or do you not respond all together?

I try to do my best to reply to all answers to my questions...after if someone is good enough to take time to answer your question, then I think it is good courtesy that I should take the time to reply back if I am able.

I try to answer what I feel are real queries about my blog. Most of the time I'd drop a comment on someone's comment specially if that's what the person requires.
It really depends. Most comments are rhetorical anyway.

It depends on the comment. Sometimes someone will use the comments to say something that would require a reply. Some say almost nothing and others just are real rude and snarky and it usually makes me want to delete those, but by the time I get to it It's been already been seen by people (unless I monitor my comments_ which I do sometimes) then yeah some get deleted.
