In my lines of business, (actually it's my sideline, mobile repair, files are shared constantly, especially updates of softwares. I get annoyed when files are shared thru rapidfire and megaupload and other sites which host file uploads but does not support resume of broken downloads. You have to start from the beginning if your download is broken. I have a poor internet connection here in my place, i use mobile usb modem which connects to a network provider. sometimes signal is not good.
I know that these sites let's you earn from files that are downloaded. But why do they not support resuming of broken downloads? When files are shared thru mediafire then i'm happy coz even if my download get's broken, i could resume from the part where the download stopped.
do you use Mediafire? do you know other sites which supports resume of broken downloads?

i still have to check this file sharing site. so far, i am using 4shared and i can get most of the files i wanted. i think broken downloads can be resumed with firefox, even when i am not using 4shared. i guess it's with the browsers feature and capability to resume a broken download.

I wish more places did that, but depending on the browser, I can usually resume any file broken or not. Of course if the file is crupt enough I usually scrap it because its not going to work for me. I try to redownload only twice if it still acts crupted i scrap it. And, no i've never used media fire.

I like mediafire for sharing the files. but for which website you are talking they are mostly used for pirated softwares and they always try to get the advantage of that by putting some barriers and earning money by membership concept.if you become the member of them you will get the resume facility also on those side like rapidshare and megaupload etc. i think you must go for genuine softwares.

oh, yeah i know they have the resume capability enabled if you get to be a paid or member. I don't want to pay for a membership. lol!
bOn my business, i have to get the files quick so as to accommodate my clients at a quicker time too. Broken downloads takes more time if restarted from the beginning. If a client gets bored on waiting then it's money gone if that client goes off.
