Any veteran gardeners out there have any suggestions for high yielding variety of tomatoes?
I had 20 plants last year mainly roma, beef steak, yellow pear, & cherry. My 3 kids ate 90% of them before they even got into the house. So I'm hoping someone has a suggestion for variety with a high yield... preferably nothing bigger than beef steak size that will do well in USDA zone 5.

I had some "early girl" tomatoes 2 years ago. Only one vine and it produced about 50 tomatoes. I was giving them away! Of course, there was only me to eat them but that darn vine kept popping out tomatoes till the frost killed it and was very easy to take care of.

I think the Brandywine is the best all around tomato. I just plant them and Chadwick Cherries. I should have started some seeds for Romas but I didn't. So it'll just be Brandywines & Chadwicks again here in Pennsylvania for me.

Most tomato plants need to have the fruit picked when it is ripe and it will more than likely produce another one. One good hint is have some flowers that are in bloom around the same time. This way the bees will also flock to the flowers of the tomato plant to pollinate it more so. Good luck. I have good yields with all the varieties I've had in the years I've gardened.
As always.....
