I know a lot has been said about this particular disease but I cant help writing about it because many still don’t know what its all about.Diabetes is a disease in which the body is unable to produce or to properly use and store glucos (a form of sugar).Glucos ebacks up in the bloodstream-causing one”s blood glucose or “sugar” to rise too high. It comes in two forms type 1 diabetes which makes the body to completely stop producing insulin,a hormone that enables the body to use glucose found in foods for energy. This type is usually found in children hence its reffered to as juvenile –onset or insulin dependent diabetes. It can however occur at any age. Type 2 also called adult onset or non –insulin dependent results when the body doesn’t produce enough insulin or is unable to use insulin properly. This form of diabetees usually occurs in people who are over 40 years ,overweight and have a family history of diabetes,it is increasingly occuring in younger people these days especially adolescents. Symptons of diabetes will usually include the following : Being always very thirsty, then you need to watch it Frequent urination Weight loss Increased hunger Blurry vision, Irritability Tingling or numbness in the hands or feet Frequent skin, bladder or gum infections Wounds that don’t heal Extreme unexplainable fatigue Dear friend its necessary to have a regular check up when you experience some or any of these symptons, try to stay alive.

hi byola great discussion you got all the symptoms right here, and I have been sadly a diabetic for thirty odd years, at least its type two so just medications, no insulin shots but when I was in my forties had I known my mom had diabetes but never told any of us I would have known to lose weight and eat right thus perhaps avoiding getting diabetes, you only inherit the tendency to get it, its not a forgone conclusion you will get it, if you take steps to get and stay really trim and healthy. I am again attempting to lose some weight this year, but wish I had done so earlier. one thing to watch out for is stress, there are times when someone has been under a huge amount of stress, diabetes pops up and schocks the person and his or her family, just brought on by stress alone. so it pays to keep unstressing yourself as much as possible.
