This is actually a two part question.... do you watch streaming video on your computer, and if you do, is there anything you can do to force it to buffer faster? I am trying to get something to load so I can get past a certain point and it's not going. I have no idea why!

The speed of your computer and your connection speed to the internet will have something to do with how long it takes for you to load a video.
I get frustrated with them being so slow, so I set them to load, walk away and do something else, and then just replay it when I get back. This has prevented many tantrums and saved my computers life on more than one occassion

Usually I do that.... I set something to start buffering and hit the pause button, and go back to doing something else. However, the other problem I was encountering is if I went too long with it just on pause, then it wouldn't play when I hit play! It was just very.... sticky that day.

I can't tell the possible reason of your problem. Perhaps you should just refresh and start from the beginning. I've noticed that using other Internet applications or downloading something may also affect the buffering speed of videos.

I have watched streaming video occasionally, the buffering thing is very annoying. Some will let you pause and continue to download whilst you do something else. Others just stop. I had one do that five minutes from the end of the show that I was watching. Very frustrating.

yes i still watch video streaming everyday, i have no problem with my connection as its fast so it will not buffer and if in case it will then i will not continue watching it and find one that i can watch continuously. i dont have television at home so if im tired typing and browsing i will watch video while lying in my ed till i fall to sleep.

After some of the research I did and some help from a friend it's easier for me to download and then watch later, but then I will have to transfer to dvd so I don't have to have all these huge files on my computer.. lol! With the streaming content I was watching, I just wanted to finish watching it. I was so tired by the end of it I think I wasn't 'all there' at that point lol.

Yeah, I do watch it sometimes. Usually, I would let the whole video finish loading before watching so that it would not stop halfway. Not sure why you have the issue of unable to load it completely.

I've figured out that sometimes maybe it has to do with how many other people are streaming/watching the same video? This was a movie, so it was like 2 hours, not a 4 minute youtube production. I thought too that it might be issues with the site, but I had used the same site to watch a different movie right before, and also the day prior, so I figured after that it might just be too many users trying to stream the same content at the same time. Who knows....
