I am trying to write articles and publish online and I would really like to write about topics that interest my readers. I know what topics interest me but I was wondering, what types of articles do you like to read? What topics interest you?

Actually you'll get various answers for this question. If you write based on what people's interest, then you'd never finish even one topic. Because there are tons of people with tons on interest. You cannot please them all. My suggestion is, you write based on the topic you are comfortable with. An article that is written by the writer who knows what he's talking about will always be better. So, what topic you like the most? Write your articles down, give it catchy tittles, then your good to go! Good luck!

Thank you for your comment. Yes, I do believe I should write about things that interest me and I'm just hoping to get some ideas from other people on what interest them. Chances are something that they are interested in could perhaps be something that I am also interested in. Thanks again!

Well, speaking of which, according to my personal experience, health articles do attract more readers. So, if you don't mind doing a little research here and there for your articles, then by all means write articles about it. Health services cost a lot of fortune and people do want to stay healthy without having to go to doctors office every single time. Home remedies kind of articles attract lots of readers. Good luck!

I love reading about politics, and different cultures. Most of the research I do on line relates to what is going on in the world around me. That is one of the reasons why I like the internet so much, because I can meet people from any culture that interests me. I have met wonderful people that way.

I think your best bet would be to write articles on "beauty/health" and "pets." Those are, generally, really popular internet topics. And of course, Entertainment gossip! lol But you have to write about what you know and/or like. Nothing is worse than writing and inaccurate and unpassionately written article.

You're welcome! :) For me, I am most passionate about fiction, so I think that's what I'm best at! But I also LOVE animals so I do have a blog about pets, which is fairly good (I think) lol Good luck! :)

I like to read about articles which talk about some tips on how to earn extra bucks online. I also want to read about how to write effective articles. If you're done writing the articles I mentioned above, let me know so that I can read them.

I love to read so I am normally up for reading any thing and seeing if it applies to me or not. This is why I read Christian Text when I myself am not a Christian by any stretch of the imagination. I also like to read Fiction and Non-Fiction. I read articles on topics from Gay Rights to Computer Tech.

Write what you know best and what you like best. This is the whole idea about writing. If you write what best fits you, it will be in the best shape, and if what you write is well received by the public, then... you made it. This is how all the known writers were born; they wrote their experience, their memories and thoughts and people just loved their stories. I am interested to read your articles or whatever form you right, but I expect to come from yourself, because this thing can't be missed from the first lines of text, no matter what the topic is: fiction, technical, computers, internet, poems...and so on. There are some tips anyone could learn about the style of writing, but about the topics...don't write on something that's imposed by other, please...

I love reading about self development, spirituality and the paranormal in fact I have written quite a number of articles on my blog about those subjects. I’ve found that articles about love and romance such as dating tips etc are quite popular. I like to write about pets as well, being an animal lover, cat person! I have also done pieces on current big news events and I found that those about inspirational people receive a lot of page views as well.

I like history about people that are not so well known. Sometimes I like to read about controversial people in history. I love reading about about odd health issues and things that can save my life that I never think about. I like reading about people that have made huge differences in areas that you would think one person couldn't have made such a difference. I also like reading about different cultures. Good luck with your articles.

Right now, I'm trying to raise my 19 month old daughter, so most of the articles I find myself reading would be about parenting. I guess there are a lot of parenting websites out there, and i'm subscribed to a few, so that's what I'm reading right now. Another thing that interests me is the mundane points of life. These are for times when I really don't want to spend too much time thinking. ;-)

I would say that if you write about topics that do not interest you, it would be diffictult to make them sound interesting as your enthusiasm may not be in it. I write about Zen.. I am passionate about it, being a Zen practitioner. I have people following my blogs because they too are interested in it. I am not really into any sports, but most people are. But if I tried to write a blog about any sport, it would not get me very far at all. I may get a lot of visitors at first, but they would detect from my writing style that I am not passionate about it at all, and leave the blog. _Derek

I enjoy all kinds of topics from new items to cook for Spring to how to attract men. Right now I am do some research on anti-oxidants. Health issues are usually good for any age.

I really believe you should write about what you are passionate about if you want people to read your articles and to continue reading your writing. If you write on something you have to research to the gils and do not like the topic, your writing will reflect your mood and feelings toward your writing. You may still write the article well, it just won't have any passion. When you first start writing you should always write about what you like and then try to expand out.
