India is a Country in the fast track. To become World's leading economy it has to improve it's infrastructure to world standard. In India Engineering colleges produce around 12000 Civil Engineers a year and the requirement of Civil Engineers is around 75000 a year and the demand is growing. Till recently, most of the Engineering colleges were reluctant to include Civil Engineering branch. Now the concept is changing, but not in the pace actually required. Why the children, the parents are not showing interest in this branch of engineering when employement after graduation is almost guaranteed? According to a latest study ,Indian real estate sector is going to suffer due to lack of talented engineers in the market. Is IT,Electronics etc are more glamorous than Civil Engineering?
