If you could have the chance to own and rule your own country would you take it? Do you think you could cope with the responsibility? and what rukes would you enforce people to live by? I will give my answers later on in the discussion.

Oh this is a great topic!! For my country (it would be named Vividia by the way), there would be 5,000, not too much because I don't have too much experience as a leader. Each citizen would be given 2 acres of land if they are able to provide the state with resources like corn and wheat from farming or animals raised from the land. For those who are not able to provide the state with resources, they could be hired for labor at other people's farms, workshops or for the government and would be given coupons to buy resources from the state. There would be basic laws like no stealing and being punished for violence. That's the basic idea. Happy mylotting.

I would surely be willing to lead my country. My platforms will be, put to shame all able bodied lazy people waiting for graces by imagination. Reward those ambitious, disciplined, responsible and goal oriented ones. I am so much pissed off with those who just keep blaming the government without doing anything to grow. Sometimes people would often point out all negative vibrations to the elected officials, saying they are corrupt! like these and like that! Why did we vote for them on the first place? I think what is needed this time is personal initiative to prosper. How could we expect someone to give as any aid, if we can't even help ourselves? Total change for both the people and the officials maybe impossible to achieve in a short span, but it is feasible to start it gradually.

hell0! well, maybe i would but only because I want to see how the president feels to be no the top of the country, but actually he can't change and decide anything, because the parliament is the one who takes the decisions and the president is just something like a ambassador of the country :(

I have a chance to rule my own country I will take it. is it sound too ambitious? I can handle our responsibility or not it depend on people who I choose to work with and the way I treat my people. I will encourages my people to have a clean and healthy life, it will make us more productive and reduces health bill. I will also open a lot field work especially in tourism, we have very beautiful country and rich culture, I want to show them to the world. The best of all I will visit all the village in my country in 5 years so I can know what they really need and they know their president care for them.

I would like to rule the Pacific Northwest and broadcast my own pirate radio station. I could mandate that people would have to wear togas to work and ditch the suit and tie. I would also require people to avoid whistling in public, as it usually annoys me. Also, anyone who was overweight or needed to exercise and was able bodied would be required to give their car away to someone who is disabled and needs a car. In return, they would be given a bicycle to get to work on.

No new rules, the current ones are enough. Just have to be more strict about it. Actually it's not the responsibility that comes into my mind first, but the lifestyle, the radical change in lifestyle I'll have to undergo if I become the authority.

Hi there, No I wouldnt. From experience I know that no matter what you do, you'll always have whiners and people against you. I also dont have the time and I wouldnt really know what to do to be honest. Sometimes you think you do something for the better and you dont!! One has to walk in people's shoes first to be able to understand how changes might benefit them. So Id pass!!

I've not the skill to be a dictator and I believe in democracy. I worked ten years for various politicians : the best are those who know to surround them with good employees, to receive and listen everybody, to do what people want them to do without trying to impose their own ideas. It's a very difficult job, so I give up gladly my seat to you, waiting for your answers.
