i get the cardboard applicator tampons because i just hate the plastic or non applicator ones and it SAYS its flushable but its always caused problems with my toilet no matter WHERE i have lived! i have given up flushing them and throw them away but my raccoon of a cat likes to dig stuff out of the trash (eww)
so my question is am i the only person that is having plumbing problems with the flushable applicators? are they even good for the environment if flushed? i dont have much problems with the tampons themselves just those darn applicators grrr! and if everyone is having problems isnt that kind of false advertising?

I've only used tampons a couple of times in life...since I found out that the bleaching agents added to the cotton in the tampons has a chemical that is directly linked to cervical cancer...however, I'd never, ever flush them. It's too easy to end up with a plumbing problem over them. I'd either wrap them in some toilet paper and throw them away or get a trashcan that has a tight lid so the kitty can't get in it.
