Does your three month old throw up when he eats it or when you do? If it's when you do, well.... that's a little odd. If it's when he eats it, maybe his body can't process it yet? I never had chocolate when I was that young. As I don't have a child, I don't know from experience. He might be allergic to something in it. Talk to your doctor about it next time you have an appointment.

I nurse my 3 month old, so when I eat it he gets it through my milk. Sorry for the slip-up.

When he eats chocolate or you? I think at 3 months he is simply too young for chocolate and should be sticking with milk/baby food. Im not a mother however and do not know a lot about what babies can eat but I wouldve thought that chocolate at 3 months is a little young.

Hi there. When I was nursing and eating chocolates my baby had problems, too. My daughter didn't throw up but got always a terrible rush, so I stopped eating it altogether.
My daughter has eczema, certain allergies and food intolerances, so even now we have to be careful what she is eating.
Maybe she has some problems with the caffein as others suggested but I would probably say it has something to do with the milk it containsor or with some other ingredients. Maybe it contains nuts or some traces of eggs or soya and your baby is allergic to it... Maybe your baby has some form of food intolerance (where the body cant cope with one or the other food and as result throws it up or has diarrhea)?
Its probably the best idea to stop eating chocolates for a while and see what happens. If your child really has some food allergies or intolerance its best to avoid it first and introduce it at a later stage so the body has time to recover and adjust...Good luck

I don't really know a lot about this subject, but I do know that chocolate can sometimes cause heart burn and acid in me and I am an adult, so I can see how it might upset him and his stomach. Good luck.

MY mother used to eat chocolate all the time when she was waiting for me, and then when she started feeding me, then I just loved the taste of it. I think that it was a bit like cocoa, but I'm not sure anymore.

As i remembered before, my doctor don't allowed me to take any caffeine based drink or food, when i was nursing my son. It's not good for the baby to have caffeine based drink food at such a tender age. I think it's better to avoid taking chocolate until you don't nurse your baby anymore. I know it's hard to avoid eating chocolate. But you must try you best to avoid it, for the sake of your baby.
