I'm seldom thrilled with ANY update. However I just updated to Firefox 3.6.2 & am THRILLED to find the NO commercials radio Add-On that came along with it!!! I believe they called it Fire.fm. I thought I'd try it & see what was there knowing I could uninstall real easy if I didn't like it. Well, fire.fm is actually last.fm that automatically loads when you open Firefox. You create your own station with the types of music you enjoy. You also have the option of listening to an artist you particularly like along with similar artists. I find that a GREAT way to find new music!!!. I like such a diversity of genres that I can play mood of the day or I can play my station which is combination of EVERYTHING I enjoy!!! It's a lot like Jango, but takes up a LOT LESS memory on my computer & I have music I enjoy playing in the background as I work. Music brings out the BEST in me!!!
Have you discovered Fire.fm yet & do you enjoy listening to music while you work??? You do realize there is NO right or wrong answer here don't you???

HEYYYYYYYYYY JAN!!! Long time no see!!!
Normally I don't even look at the propaganda pages on any Firefox update. I found this one quite by accident. My first thought was I have 5 stations at Jango & this would be a waste of time. Something just kept drawing me back. So, I decided I had NOTHING to lose. Addons can become addoffs very easily so I accepted the offer. The building takes some work, but doing it while listening to the music was EXCITING!!!I have tried playing CDs in my computer which gave me the music that I liked to hear, but it used a lot of the memory in my computer!!! I was excited when I first joined Jango, but began to notice that it ate up the memory too. I had pretty much gave up on Jango because of that. I like that opening Firefox turns it on & closing Firefox turns it off. Last night I was in my Classic Roc mood & I had Classic Rock playing. Today while trying to think, I was in the Blues mood. So, today I've been grooving with the Blues!!! We don't have a Blues radio station anywhere near where I live & I can't afford to get into Sirrius so the CDs I've bought have pretty much been my ONLY Blues available. After listening to Fire ALL day today, I've NOT heard the same song twice...I like that!!!
I've had a REALLY GREAT day listening to music that I used to share with my hubby & that I soooo ENJOY now!!!!
I will warn you that after Fire is installed & you sign on, it asks for permission to automatically sign you on every time you start Firefox. I strongly suggest you say YES. You can always stop it if you decide you don't want to hear any music!!!

even though you have to pay for it that fire fox add-on, sounds interesting. I however have a free radio player on my myspace page(direct link on my mylot profile) ,so I wouldn't get the firefox player even if it was free all the time. besides, firefox uses too much memory as it is!
