I think Newt Gingrich is a very intelligent Reaganesque conservative that could right the wrongs that are happening in the USA at present. Every time I hear him speak I have hope things can get better. Do you think Newt could win if he ran for president? I'd vote for him.

Newt is a smart man, but he's too polarizing. He wouldn't have a chance if he ran for President.

Oh good god no...not that. Newt, although far from a stupid person, is another establishment republican as far as I'm concerned. He suports many of the unconstitutional things that establishment republicans supprt. to elect someone like Newt Gingrich to the White house would be more of the same problem, we might just as well re elect Obama if we do this.

I guess I just do not understand what is appealing about Newt Gingrich. It seem like every time around Newt's name is dropped. I remember back in 96, 2000, and even 2008 Newt was talked about him being the man. Yet I still do not see it.

I wouldn't vote for him for dog-catcher! Seriously, I don't think he'd have a snowball's chance in he11, as another poster said he's much too polarizing. If nothing else, his hypocrisy would keep me from ever supporting him. Remember how during the Monica Lewinsky scandal he was talking about "family values" while at the same time he was carrying on his OWN affair with his OWN young staff member for whom he soon thereafter dumped his wife?
