Ever wanted a quick anti-virus that detects and kills instantly for USB flash drives? Then you need USB Disk Security. You don't need to install a bulky anti-virus just to get your USB files clean. Also they are compatible to any Anti-virus software if you had already installed one. This saves me time from installing Anti-virus software. Whats good about this software is it is just about 1mb file. So its easy to download and its free! Try it and it may come in handy. Just want to share :)

Hi, I was able to check this out from my friend's computer, and I'd have to say that it really did impress me. :)
Thanks for sharing this information with people; I think Windows users would really be able to benefit from this information. Personally, I use Mac OS X and Ubuntu Linux more, so I barely have a problem with this. However, during those moments that I do use Windows, this information COULD come in handy. Again, thank you, Nykel!

Hi, Nykel! I'm not a programmer; I actually can't make a webpage from HTML code from the ground up, for the life of me. I can, however, understand individual chunks of HTML code and CSS code enough to get by and edit Wordpress or Blogger templates. Heheh.
Aside from that, I barely have programming language. I had programming classes back in high school, but all Turbo Pascal knowledge I ever had just flew out of the window, heheh.

Now regarding why I have 2 OS's, it's simple: I use a Macbook as my personal computer, then I had Ubuntu Linux installed at work so that I could avoid the viruses that Windows environments purvey. :( I really don't like losing my work, that's why.

i am not sure about usb anti virus program but thanks anyway for the information. so far i am using kaspersky in my dekstop and avast with my laptop. and everytime i am concern about usb flash drives connected to them, i merely scan them with my anti-virus program before opening them.

hello nykel,
for me, the best way to protect your computer from viruses is to have a file back up on the computer and every time you plug the USB into the computer, just format the entire USB. and then copy paste the file that
you want to put inside of the USB. then after that do the same method all over again, instead of relying so much on the anti-virus that doesn't bite all the virus.

Hi Let! I do that sometimes because there isn't really a 100% anti-virus software that could kill all the computer viruses in the world. But I was amaze by this software because it automatically detects most of the USB virus and it is a small file software. Got to give credit to it at least. ^^

My pleasure. Many people doesn't know about this freeware program. By the way its purpose is for the USB only so it doesn't scan the whole computer but the flash only :) Yeah I kinda know the feeling when I first tried my USB in a internet cafe and not knowing there were lots of viruses attack to it already and when I plug into my computer, it showed me a blue screen of errors. .
