I got a Tween!!!!

Yeah, I got one now! Actually she is my grand daughter but I do her daycare while mom works (since she was born!) so we are really close, She turned 10 yesterday and was excited at first, but then realized it wasn't much different than 9, she told me. But she's a "tween" now and still as amazing as ever!

Tweens are my favorite kind of "kids" because they are on the twilight of adulthood and take their moral responsibilities to seriously. One of the most delightful jobs I ever had was the year I taught a classroom of 52 fifth graders (no teaching assistant, either and it was my first teaching assignment right after I got out of college.)

I'm hard pressed to choose a favorite age. Every year these two little ones get better and better and more amazing and smart!

Happy Birthday, K! Congratulations, Nanny! I was sitting in church this morning watching three little granddaughters hug up to their Nanny and it was so sweet. Someday it will be me!

You'll have some...and you will be a great Nanny! Got say tho..tough decision as to whether I like being a Nanny or a mother better! It is a big tie! Third GD turns 1 on the 21st and the other one turned 4 last month. She now thinks that cause she is 4 she is SOOOOOO grown up.. and the attitude came along with it!
